  • Appreciate your model. Did you establish a community? Am a recent BK School grad, also watched your sidetrack experiment. would appreciate updates on how both of these experiments have progressed - actually have many questions and would dearly love a community network or forum for brainstorming creativity education. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for this work.

I wish you were in our neck of the woods, to teach. It inspired me to send this to other teachers I know and maybe they will run with it. The school you are in, is lucky to have a teacher like you. You are making this world a better world. Thanks!

  • @wrenwillow Hey, if you know teachers could you send me a message? I'm starting a dialogue group for teachers about integrating TW into curriculum.

  • thank you rachel!

  • Wonderful! God bless you!

  • Thanks i'm taking the work of byron katie tomorrow to 9 yr olds and this will help.

  • Thank you so much!! You are really really wonderful to share this with us. I've been looking for a way to help teens experience "the work" I will let you know how it goes. C. Fried Israel.

  • I am 58 years okd and I wish I had you as my teacher when I was growing up. Sure would have made life a lot easier

  • Thank you for this, I forwarded this to my sister who hopefully will introduce the work to her kids!

  • You Rock!!!!....

  • Thank you. Thank you.

  • hi dear teacher! thank you so much for henerously sharing the wonderful creativity you put into this! i hadn't even given a though to how open and able kids are to this... how can i contact you for the curriculum you mention? i wish you lots of fun and joy in your work, thank you!

    Wim

  • @wvanschel Send me a private message with your email. All the curriculum I mentioned is free and downloadable on the Institute for The Work community forums, too.

  • Excellent Idea! Thanks... for putting some thought into it!

Will try with my own kids!

  • Really impressive. I think you improve it even more, by having a replacement thought, and doing the work on that.

eg If you don't think life sucks, what do you think instead? How do you react to that thought?

  • nice

  • @amazonman54 Thanks!

  • What a nice way to do this. Especially the putting on and taking off the note cards from the person and the world are very strong visually. Literally the thoughts cover up what's really there! Well done.

I had to laugh about Sky dragon's comment :"So, Mom, how do you feel when you believe the thought 'She should clean her room'?"

  • Thank you!!

  • Doooodette!! So wonderful! I have been thinking a lot about how we could do the work with teens without getting in trouble LOL! I can just see some of the conversations. "So, Mom, how do you feel when you believe the thought 'She should clean her room'?" But seriously, I love what you've done and I am very interested in curricula!

  • @skydragon108 Hey! Send me a private message with your email and I'll include you in a dialogue about TW in Education :)

  • Nicely done!

  • Wow! How inspiring! I'll share this with my teacher friends. I'm off to The School for The Work in a few weeks; now I'm even more inspired.

  • this would be good depending on what lesson it was taught in. It seems to be a related to the topic im doing in religion at the moment (i'm 14)I can see how this would be enlightening to people however i feel personally i've already self taught myself what you've said

  • great work for teens!!

  • Thanks for sharing.

    love

    Rich

  • Thank you so much for your generous sharing! I would love to try this out with kids and you've given me the tool!

    You are AWESOME!!

    XXXX

  • You are so beautiful :) Your inner light shines through very strongly in this video and is a reminder to me of how much goodness there is in humans, if they were only to ask the right questions. What an inspiration! Thank you :)

  • Absolutely awesome, I wish I had a teacher like you when I was younger! :)

  • This is wonderful, wonderful stuff. Thanks so much for sharing this.

    With love.

  • This is really really good- never mind just for teenagers - this would really work for adults as well - engaging and creative with it.

I could imagine adults creating their 'view of the world' - a daily visual - something to check in with and 'clean up' every day - I could use it with some of my most common thoughts.

Thanks for taking the time to share this.

    With love,

    Jon

  • Your video is awsome. Thanks very much. I've been using it for my ESL Students in Brazil. They are intermediate level and have learned a lot from it. Thanks very much.

  • Definitely a cool teacher. Any teacher who can get kids to see a little beyond their beliefs is doing great work.

  • Thanks for making and sharing this. I wish I was teaching kids these days so I could use your ideas here. I'll definitely keep it in mind for the next time I am in a classroom with kids. Also, I'm working on a workshop for parents and teachers that uses superheroes as the theme, and I can see how I could easily encorporate your poster ideas into that workshop. Thanks!

  • Hi, Thanks for the feedback! If you'd like more curriculum ideas for your workshop or for teachers you may know, please contact me (here, or over e-mail). And thank you everyone for your comments.

  • You deserve the Nobel Peace Prize for teaching so greatly the work for children, I wish I had a teacher like you back in first grade

  • Your approach is beautiful, clear, and simple just like The Work itself!! I LOVE it and plan to use it very soon. My heartfelt gratitude for your work in this area and for sharing it with us. I do TW with teens who are on probation, and I see how easily I can customize the thoughts to reflect their world....Probation sucks!! etc. I will be taking TW into an elementary school next week so, I'll be making my posters this weekend!! Thank you so much!

  • Great work...I'm grateful for this post...& I appreciate you...kind regards, David (Melb, Australia)
