i think, it´s because of the fact that the audience haven´t been recorded...you have to place microphones in the audience...it´s a normal recording without audience-mikes...the audience was much louder at that day, i´m sure!!!

you can see by their movements and actions that they were making a lot of noise. The recording is only meant to capture the music though. I remember in orchestra they did the same thing and the audience could not be heard at all even when they were applauding.

just listen to him now and then go back to 1999 or 1995. he sounds like he did on the albums back then. normaly after so many years of singin metal your voice gets fuck up and u have to find a new way of singing. thats what he had to do. perfect example listen to Gekreuzigt on the album Unrein. then listen to the live version from there new DVD, theres a big difference.

I'm not an expert on regional accents in Germany but I believe Till Lindemann of Rammstein has a Berlin accent, which might account for the difference.

This is an interesting conversation, German dialects. I've noticed that Rammstein's music seems to place much more emphasis on the German than Oomph's. That is, Rammstein's songs just wouldn't sound the same in English or any other language. Oomph, well, they use their language like any other band, just for lyrics and not really for effect. I don't think their songs would sound quite right in English either, but Rammstein really makes you APPRECIATE the German instead of just hear it.

I am so glad because I'm pretty sure that's Dero's real voice. It may sound different from the CD, but I like to hear both the CD voice and the concert voice. Live, his voice is unusual, like nothing I've ever heard, and that is a wonderful thing. :)
