Thank you for uploading this. I'm a direct descendant of a citizen of the Vine and Olive Colony, which I'm sure you know this is written after. Their struggles alone would make a great historical film, these days, I think. Fot those that don't know: This is set a bit later from the original colonization in 1817. The fictional town that this movie takes place in is a direct reference to Demopolis, Alabama. Check it out! Wikipedia has a nice summary, and there's a ton of other literature.
I don't know how to upload anything. I cannot tolerate the movies of today, and I am so thrilled that I can find the classics on utube. I am 82, a widow of many years, and the "oldies" are so wonderful to me. Thank you Blacklily...
Thank You, Thank You for this movie. I wonder do you have any others you could upload like "The Letter" 1940, "Beyond the Forest" 1949 (with the famous line -what a dump), "Dead Ringer" 1964. I Looovvvveee Bette Davis movies

Seventy five years after the 1912 setting of "The Little Foxes", textile mill owners in the south began repeating the same pattern of exploiting cheap labor/location by outsourcing to foreign countries. Lorraine
This is sensational! Thank you for sharing this with everyone, including me! I hope YT doesn't remove it. Afterall, it's an old classic masterpiece, why it remain? Much appreciated.
Hallelujah! I taped this and just as I was really getting into it, about a third of the way in, it ended - for some reason my dvr didn't record the whole thing. How annoying! But here it is! Thank you!
Leo eats like a pig! I can't stand the way Americans use their fork in their right hand to shovel food in at such a rate you would think they were all starving, if someone takes the trouble to cook for you the least you can do is savour it to show appreciation.
This isn't the only Davis film in which the black characters -even when playing servants- have great wisdom and dignity and clearly are on the side of angels. Even the allegedly dim-witted Cal sees right through Leo. And Jessie Grayson makes Addie a bulwark of moral clarity, totally self-possessed and outspoken too. She instinctively knows the good guys from the bad guys, catering tenderly to the former and navigating deftly around the latter. She's a shield between Alexandra and the vultures.
thanks for uloading i love these old movies they had actors back then,,not computors ,god storys ..just wish we could get it back ,,notice how they always redo older movies ..but never the same..
Not Mildred, not Joyce Heath, not Julie Marsden, not Judith Trahern, not Elizabeth I, not Charlotte Vale, not Margo Channing, and not Jane Hudson, but Regina Hubbard Giddens is my favorite Bette Davis. "Nobody's as good as Bette when she's bad," and murder-by-inaction is getting pretty bad. I count "Foxes" as an all-time, Top Ten fave.
@dvlaries well before i saw this my favourite bette was fanny trellis skeffington with baby jane a close second and mildred in of human bondage a third...
i also love the others you list here in this order-
1. Margo Channing- All about Eve, 2. Charlotte Vale- Now voyager, 3. Elizabeth I & Julie Marsden- Jezebel, 4. Joyce Heath- Dangerous, 5. Judith Trahern - Dark Victory
we'll see if i agree with you by the end of this ;)
Very surprised to find this film at YouTube as it is difficult to obtain. I last viewed this half a lifetime ago and am most thankful you uploaded it. The underlying story is a pocket version of the modern world made highly attractive by the acting quality and top director. Teresa Wright's first film and where she met and married Niven Busch. A most superior family film!
Thank you for posting this movie. Hope Youtube doesn't remove it. I don't have a t.v. and I love watching movies online. I can google for information at the same time and it's great.
You're welcome. This has been up a few months now so I will probably leave it as it's a popular movie. I don't have a TV either and this is my entertainment. Thanks for the New Year wishes - Happy New Year to you too.
@DavidRosenberg1 Not True. Recording to her Biography she said: The worst movie was 'Beyond the Forest', but her worst PERFORMANCE was Regina in 'Little Foxes' :)
I found this through Google videos. It was the easiest way to search. Love Bette Davis!

"Luv" these old films; Bette Davis is one of my favorites. :))
I gave up cable TV years ago (why pay for 90% junk to watch 10% or less?)

Ich sehe Du bist auch auch Deutschland, dann kann ich ja deutsch schreiben:)
Das wußte ich nicht und kann ich gar nicht verstehen, Sie spielt doch, wie immer, klasse und sieht super aus.
