I dont get it. everyone who got those 275mm et street radials gets a perfect launch. on the other hand - I´ve seen plenty of people who did have serious traction issues with 320mm et street radials. how is this possible ?

its really prefrence the ls1 has a high compression ratio to begin with so you can build an all motor ls1 for alot cheaper than supercharging it an be just as fast

@TheMpatton my car with the supercharge cost less than that GTO stock. That GTO had all kinds of stuff done to it. They are just too heavy. Drag bags are needed to race plus that one I raced had heads and cams and headers and only a driver seat in it.

i have a 04 gto with full boltons no tune and run high 12 so i know that thing didnt have cam and heads and if so it must of been a tiny cam and not so good heads

Yeah but you got to look at it like this man your car is a 2002 gt cost around what 8-12grand and 260hp stock then the gto is a 05-06 13-24grand but has 400hp stock so you spent what 6-8grand for a supercharger to even compeat with the goat even with the extra wieght and still lost.

I just found a 99-04 Mustang GT with 80,000miles in mint cond. on ebay for $6,000... A GTO on the other hand is around $18,000. You do the math the 1.7 or 2.1 kenne bell is only a few thousand dollars.

@larryadam2 Yup my brother in law has a 04 GTO and a good friend has a 06 GTO I like them they're really nice cars and they run great. I like Trans Am, Camaro, Challenger, Mustang etc. I like them all and would like to have one of each... All I am saying to the other guy is you can buy a 1999 mustang GT with under 100,000 miles for $5,500 and buy a $3,500 kenne bell 2.1s/c 9PSI that adds 160hp to the stock motor, then you have 420hp that will run with a GTO.

How is your transmission with the Kb on the automatic? does is do good i can get a Kb nxt week i have a auto but im not sure if my transmission will last?

Your tranny should hold up fine. You'll have to put a tranny cooler on it ofcourse but then it will be ok.

I only run the MT drag radials at the track. I'd never hook up with street tires. My street tires that I have are the BF Goodrich KDW's with the funky tread pattern.
