reclaimed land and man built land is the same thing. I wasn't saying anything bad about it. In fact I think it's a very well designed airport. Just because I'm an American doesn't make me hateful or spiteful >:/ I like aviation, that's all.

I have a real fascination for airports built on artificial islands or reclaimed land, though at the same time I wonder about the environmental impact of such practice. In the New Doha airport's case, it shouldn't be an issue, but in the case of all the artificial islands being created in Dubai in the UAE, it's becoming ridiculous, and the projects are beginning to show their consequences.

can i know the consequences ? .well the fish never come near airport cause they are scared of the engine noise so they habitat near the cove or the west of qatar

In Dubai, the artificial islands are pushing currents around so that when the current goes around and hits the natural shoreline, it's more offset as far as angle goes and erodes the beach away. Doha has the advantage of possessing a natural bay, and having the new Doha airport where it is, won't have the same impact as far as water movement goes. Marine wildlife may be affected however. Proper stewardship of the Earth is extremely important.

I'm not being racist at all. I'm questioning the environmental impact of such construction processes. That has nothing to do with race. I don't think you comprehend what I'm saying here, but it's alright because I'm not trying to be mal-intending and I don't think anyone else is either honestly. :)

New Doha is better in terms of design and operation than the current Dubai Airports, but the new Dubai World Airport will be much bigger than New Doha, to serve many more passengers and much more Cargo. New Doha doesn't need to be as big though. Doha is a much smaller population and area to serve. New Doha will also have room to expand by reclaiming land if need be.
