@daotkaayo I use a Boss ME-20 effects pedal to get a better sound. You can get a distortion sound without a pedal too by just using the distortion channel on your amp instead of the clean channel but it won't sound very good. To get a good distortion sound, you really need to have some kind of a distortion/effects pedal.
