I'm a mechanic in the US Army, we use these engines in the HEMTT's they're pretty badass alot of power for sure they pick up that 38,000 vehicle with no issues at all

@cumminsturbofan101 Howdy, the short story is, I visit a guy through a men's ministry to one of the local prisons, he is a young man, made an alcohol related bad choice, which cut his ARMY career short, he was a diesel guy; he told me about having a turbo charger and a super charger on the same engine, but I never got an answer why?
I work with diesels at work, and all have been turbo charged, I understand 2 and 4 stroke cycle, but why both kinds of chargers? Thanks, joe
@bluecollarboiler that would be on a 2 stroke diesel that you would need that. It's because 2 strokes can't be naturally aspirated they need some kind of pressurized air system such as a turbocharger or a supercharger or both in order to properly function. It's to pressurize the fuel delivery and fill the cylinders with pressurized air forcing out exhaust gasses. I would have to post more then one comment to fully explain haha
