  • 240p we meet again

  • PRIM clock are czech made product!!!!!! me too yeah!!!!!!!

  • Seen this band so many times! fricken awesome.

  • Is this a remix of the song? Doesn't sound like the original version on the album.

  • @chaosgerbil I don't think so. It should be the original.

  • @chaosgerbil Depends on which album you listen to. This is it on one of the. Another is on Showbuisness.... so...

  • wumbachumba.. the very best

  • politic through entertainment..funtastic said the steepest tooth of the world..with a kind bow, andreas Dental'n'Roll forever

  • in the tiking of your hart time beating in the broken of your promess

  • Had my father not introduced me to this (via Nazi) I would have lost out so ever so much. I don't think that any music collection could ever be filled without this song. Such wonderful lyrics, such wonderful meaning, such an addictive tune.

  • livin today, the best is to blow

  • ou... :]

  • this is our czech "Óčko" nice :)

  • @faredust77 and they played in Lucerna no long ago :D

  • It's unbelievable, so very f*cking great. One of the best songs they ever made. Cheers, William from Holland.

  • Terrific voice!

  • What is this song about? Whats the topic of this song?

  • This song is about how everyone (all people of different races, sex, and ages) must stand up for their rights, protest, and fight for what they believe in. Hence "timebomb" meaning that people have power in numbers and will inevitably stand up to oppose whatever they disagree with (ie government / corporations) when they infringe on their rights. In the booklet notes for this song it quotes Lennon, "Come Together" and mentions tax riots and riots in SF post Rodny King verdict.

  • Huh. I Use to obsess over this song. Ha ha it's still pretty cool.

  • exellent

  • There a good band, but sometimes I think they over do it with the repitition in their songs.

  • love this song!

    -------------------------------------

At the risk of seeming ridiculous, let me say that the true revolutionary is guided by a great feeling of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality.

  • You're not ridiculous at all. Too many things to write on this subject and too little time, anyway I think I know what you mean and I absolutely agree.

  • I think passionately hating others is more important than loving someone in revolution. Revolutions are violent bloody struggles. Love doesnt do shit in freedom struggles . Look at that asshole Gandhi who said same shit. Because of him British stayed here till 1947. If there had been violence.. man.

  • @972someguy there yah go Che. Decent qoute, very true.

  • I can't find this song on Itunes!! It's always the softer version. Where is this song?

  • Well done for 'liberating' this gem before the baddies get it!

  • Yes, I shall send out my squad of rabid ninja marshmallows right now.

  • I say we kidnap them in order to get a performance.

  • I'm with you there. We have to demand they do this song too.

  • Great band. To bad they don't come to the USA. WOuld love to get front row tickets to a show.

  • I would too. I'd love to see these guys in concert.

  • @GreenDay1981 Yeah, they only came here when "Tubthumping" was a hit. They were quite disturbed to find audiences full of seven year olds, when much of their older material wasn't kid friendly. Needless to say, "Home Alone 3" caused that... But because of that song (and their reputation as a one hit wonder here), they won't be back, sadly.

  • @NyeTunes They actually toured north america a few times before Tubthumping, but very rarely since. There's an interview with them in Maximum Rock & Roll in 1991 about a US tour they were doing at the time.

  • @NyeTunes Hey kid friendly is a relative term. This is the stuff my parents played in the car when i was 5. I knew most of the lyrics off by heart. They had to warn me not to repeat them in front of my grandparents.

  • @GreenDay1981 ive seen them live in Newcastle but they weren't that good and im a big fan!

  • I've been to four of their shows - they don't have front rows - they have mosh pits

  • Not right struck on the idea of fucking the government... or seeing what happens if we smash the state. Not a bad song though.

  • the whole of the fucking uk is a ticking timebomb...

fuck the goverment and this police state they have created..... smash the state.

  • jakej pán, takovej krám

  • I'm slaming when I hear this song! Yahoo!

  • Reading the paper on lorry at 2.05

  • Getting to appear in a Chumbawamba video. That's pretty cool.

  • Excellent song, my girlfriend is in the video

  • Awesome! Which one is your girlfriend?

  • Excellent song, my girlfriend is in the video !

  • The first time I hears this song was at the Heineken Festival in Brighton in 1993 (with the Levellers headlining). I dropped acid for the first time ever, and I was tripping my nuts off when they were playing this song. They were absolutely bloody brilliant, and this song is a classic - wherever your head is.

  • I hitched all over the country following them on their first major tour... many marvelous messy nites!!!

I wonder if they still do any gigs??

  • They do - I'm going to a gig tomorrow evening (Oldenburg, Germany)

  • they have one in leeds at the cockpit soon dunno if theres still tickets tho

  • yeah still gigin but more of a folk act now check them out in myspace..........and Danbert is now in the states also on myspace

  • well done for saving the vid. A brilliant tune by a brilliant band and as ever original :) Thanks, I have some home movie footage of them live in whitby and Beverly cathedral a few years ago, will try to get it off my broken hard drive and post it.

  • GREAT SONG!

  • brilliant

  • "the harder their metal and the drier their paper(note) ivy,

the harder we must be like a flintstone to spark a million of higher torchflames"

Republican cry before Barcelona fell to the fascists

  • classic song ;)

  • I knew this band was destined for greatness the moment I read the title of their first lp..."Pictures of Starving Children Sell Records." ^_^

  • What does chumbawamba mean anyways??

    :P It rocks though :)

  • Here's the exact quote from the band's official site: "Chumbawamba doesn't mean anything. At the time we formed (early 80's) there was a rush of bands with obvious names. It was the time of 'peace punk' and you couldn't get across a youth club dance floor without bumping into a Disorder, a Subhumans, a Decadent Youth or an Anthrax t shirt. We liked the sound of Chumbawamba because it wasn't nailing ourselves down."

  • so is it true their members from crass?? i always hated this band until i found that out haha really it still sux ha

  • I don't think so. I looked up the group Crass and none of the members of that group are or were in Chumbawamba.

  • NO Crass were London based Chumbies were from Leeds/Bradford

  • kocham ta piosenke

    Ich liebe dieser lied

    Ilove this song

  • I'm a time bomb

Lucy Parson was a good anarchist and agitator she had her nice signum - Learn the uses of explosives!

  • I am a time bomb.

  • trots

  • Celá Hanka Zoubková!

  • So cool...and as somebody has already, they couldn't even be arsed with this one...here's to the revolution 2009...kaboom...!

  • does anyone recognise the guy appearing at 0.54 , is he a member of the band?

  • I don't recognize him. I don't think he's part of the band.

  • Is it Cornelius Fladge the singing tobacconist?

  • I prefer the jimmy echo live version. I got into chumbawamba after coming across a band called sportchestra, some of the members of chumbawamba were in it i think. The album was called '101 songs about sport' and it was exactly that, 101 short songs about sport, some of them are hillarious. Someone told me the album is very rare, is this true? Does anyone have any more info on this band known as sportchestra?

  • was he younger than his tubthumping song???

    because he looks really different

  • He was a little younger. Timebomb was released in 1993 and Tubthumping was released in 1997.

  • Thousands inside me need to see yu in Athens/thessaloniki

    Get on with it!!!!!!!!!

Do you remember Kammena Vourla 2003 or was it 2005?

  • I heard Chumbawamba in Seattle with Eve Libertine and Mecca Normal. There was a $6 max cover, and that included free stew and flying 45's!

  • I like this song but I get the feeling that Chumbawumba arent too bothered with it. Its actually quite deep in that we all put up with so much crap from people who control us!

This society and economy is a Timebomb!

  • Could somebody please tell me the title of the song were their reading the radio weather report?

  • I saw them last week at old town Swindon.

Really good had a brilliant time and got payed for it as I was working there as security

  • Thank You for uploading. :D

  • Wav, video from "Óčko" TV :o) and I have seen in disbelief clocks from czech producer "Prim" :o)

  • summer holidays 1994 .....this was the tune to my summer .

  • give the anarchist a cigarette ,nothing ever burns down by itself , every fire needs alittle bit of help.

  • I like the album version a lot better.

But this is an okay radio edit. At least it has Alice Nutter and Lou Watts.

  • I thought this was the album version. When I downloaded the actual song, I didn't notice any difference. Maybe I downloaded the radio edit too.

  • hehe =] i likey

    i like tubthumping more though

  • Brilliant!

  • Top tune and my tiny sue is in the video!

  • have, kurwa... piłem :D

  • mi piacevano un sacco i chumbawamba mi davano la carica e questa canzone è una bombaaaaaa! bum

  • reminds me of my childhood so much! i love it!! i cant find the album anywhere.. grr..

  • Have you looked on Ebay or Amazon?

  • i havent, but i might have to, they dont sell them in any of the big music shops, and my mum lost her copy..

  • I know here in the US, they don't sell any Chumbawamba CD's. At least they haven't since WYSIWYG. I wish they would.

  • they sell some of their albums here in england, but not the album with this song on, which is the album i want, looks like i will have to buy off the internet or search in old music shops.

  • I bought this album, 'Anarchy' off Amazon about 5 months ago!!

  • thank you GD1981 i did miss it

    and she is hot

have you herd the other vershon (i prefer it)

    lost some qualty

  • I've heard them do a live acoustic version. Didn't like it as well. Is there another version?

  • Thanks for posting this-been waiting ages:-)

  • I like the new folky chumba, "The Boybands have Won" is brilliant, but that is a classic.

  • Great to see this back, though the image is grainy.A romantic/humorous and provokative look at People.Nostalgic stand from the sunglasses of the singing donna.

  • Yeah, it a shame she's not longer with Chumbawamba. She's kinda hot in this video.

  • what is she doing now lately.

Times may change and Times may change her/you but You too can change the Times.

Chumbawamba helped a lot of People. They gave them a musical voice,a soundtrack.

  • I heard she wanted to focus on writing. I don't know how being part of Chumbawamba kept her from doing that, but I guess it did. I hope it won't be a permanent thing. I'd like to see her back with the band eventually.

  • Actually, Lou is still with Chumbawamba. You must mean Alice, who isn't. Alice isn't singing in this video.

  • You know, you're right. It is Lou singing this song. I always get her and Alice mixed up.

  • she's a STONE COLD FOX in dis video too

  • tohle mi na youtube chybelo
