The same sex thing... Well it has been touched on a bit for instance Riker made it with a alien humanoid hermaphrodite and the one where that redneck from enterprise was impregnated by a male alien but who looked like a female sort of.
Data isnt exactly Male but 'he' banged Yarr, and then there was the symboites which at some point were either male or female and had some relationships with Worf and Doc Crusher. Admittedly though never a straight on GuyGuy or GalGal, just close to it though
shes actually winning me over , I regard voyager as the weakest of all the trek franchises . I found Janeway annoying as hell ,, mainly due to the writers not kate!
but shes actually funny and charming, yeah shes winning me over here
This woman blows me away. The more I learn about her philosophy the more I love the way she thinks... She seems to be of a breed that's becoming tragically rare...
To Kate.. I just have to say as a person who has bi-polor and who has tried to kill myself and who tries to keep the faith and to hold on to some understanding of religion~ Thank you for saying what you just said. You'v eased my heart and lightened the weight I carry with me every minute of ever day, God bless you.
You should write to her and tell her that. I'm sure she gets lots of fan mail but I know she tries to read it and that sort of message, I'm sure, would mean a lot to her. And bless you for hanging on. :)
@trisha3397 I don't have bipolar, but I understand what you are saying completely. I have quite violent mood swings and I've often been so torn - between feeling hopeful and then finding myself back in my usual despair - never in a stable and content middle... and I was there when she said this and it touched me that such an inspiring and humane woman could have been in such a dark place and could put it so eloquently!
@trisha3397 (continued) So many times I'd been through my options in my head - what is right, what is wrong - who is anyone to say that; who am I to dispute it, etc. So much conflict and confusion -- and this really touched me too.
@Kahiara im so glad I found this vid, really I am.
Thanks for the reply and no worries about the removed comment.
It must have been so amazing to have been sitting there when she was saying this.
I think you can always tell when a person is talking about these things whether or not they have gone through it themselves. It the compassion & understanding they have. I was moved by what KM said here. She's a true gift.
@trisha3397 You're right! I'd never imagined Kate had gone through dark times though - I mean I guess everyone goes through a lot but it was the way that she stands so tall, and compassionate despite it all! I really admire her humanity - how she's so real - and just truthful about it. And it makes it so touching.
It was amazing being there! But it's still amazing to see her on video :) So you haven't missed out don't worry :) <3
