  • When the guys jumped into the water it looked like poop.

  • great video, thanks for putting it together

  • This is not Joe Cocker.

  • - O here you are? Now, wash my window... :P

  • this was badass but its so true parkour isn't new its been around ever since man looked at a monkey and thought I could do that

  • 1:05 is AWESOME

  • He's really doing stunts rather than parkour/free running, but still I'm amazed

  • @masteranchovie same I'm 11 and I started free running when I was ten and so far I can barely get up my chimney! But I'm going to keep trying!

  • i was expecting to see the same footage as in all the other 1930s parkour vids, but this had some new stuff too! i just love that crazy tree precision at 1:02

  • THAT WAS FUCKING KICKASS!!!! Also, I'm envious since I'm 11 and my hope is to acculimate all of that skill to even just climb a pole to impersonate a spy movie. Damn, I really want skill like that and juts guts to even jump off of a crane into the ocean.

  • Parkour is as old as human-kind.

  • FUCKING BLINDFOLDED!?!?!?

  • This is sick! Damn old school traceurs were pretty good. Obviously they didn't call themselves traceurs or know what parkour was, but seriously, names are not that big of a deal.

  • Hi christine, hope watched this vid

  • omfg and they're sooo much older!!!! they had no trampolines back then lol...

  • This is from the Howard Smith film "Gizmo"

  • amazing o,o

  • summer in the city by the lovin spoonful is x10 better

  • Wow, this is cool :o)

  • oh! incredible)

  • DAMN! ASSASIN'S CREED LIVE LOL!

this vid gives me ideas on how i can improve my parkour :)

  • ooh la-la... i hate gravity

  • Holy crap, 1:18 was a little over the top. 1:22 is astounding, and everything from 1:40 and onward is just freaking insane

  • AmaziNG!:-O

  • Anybody know the name of this guy?

  • is that douglas fairbanks?

    watch?v=yaBud6ii5Wk

  • 1:44 - 2:03 the jumps into the water would have been sick to do that and the jump through the window must have felt BA :P lol

  • GREAT

  • old school > new times.

  • wow ..insane

  • dude, that is old school.

I love how far its come even tho back then parkour didnt have a name.

  • To day, its illegal to climb buidlings.. Back then, there were gladly video taping it :D

  • This guy was a bit before his time...

  • :O what the hell is this for real i meen parkour back then wher did u get the clips from?

  • lol.. this video makes out that this was in the 20's...

i have a problem with that...

    a. the camera's were hardly that good bac then

    b. look at the camera angle on 0:36... that couldn't be acheived without modern apparatus

nice parkour... just dont let it trick you into how long it's been going on.

  • i'd say parkour was arround since before the yamakasi, but not that far back

  • ooh yes, and this is ofcause not parkour that THEY were doing at that time. u could even tell when there were gymnastics in it if you want to go down in details... but what about herbertism? what about well build gymnasts? what about firefighters... i dun know, but the possibility, of the guys bagground could be many.

since david came up with the definition parkour, parkour can ofcause not be older than him...lol? but the art, the moves and so on. there have been people doing such for very long.

  • Cant argue about what parkour is or isnt. It is what it is. Nothing more, and nothing less. It is what David Belle and his friends defined it to be.

And the camera angle could ofcourse be achived back then. At 0:36 as you claim is impossible, they could just stand at the house next to the one filming at. This is not fake..

  • UfsZanarkand you reject of course these camera angles can be achieved. Dear god are you retarded

  • Parkour has always existed. People from hundreds years BC used it to move and escape from animals an also used this to hunting. Later, David called this movement Parkour, by significant help of Hebert.

  • @DymazYuuki of course its parkour parkour has been around for years just no one has made a mane for it intall david things like this lead up to parkour vthe method of parkour is been around for before david belle parkour was not a solid art or a sold sport up intil david belle parkour has now bascome a solid sport and a solid art for years to me it is martial art

  • Cool video! They were sick in the old days. :P

  • zajebiste!!!! old school też ma swoją wersje parkouru

  • I've been looking for this B&W footage for ~15 years, ever since I saw it on one of those "Amazing Video" TV shows from the early 90s.

The part I remembered was the guy climbing up the tree as fast as a monkey and the guy walking up the walls in the tight alley.

  • Awesome, thanks for posting this!

    Really inspiring!

  • nice

  • very good

  • wow when was that recorded. He must be like the first tracure ever lol
