Pretty cool drawing. I didn't get the part when you were drawing the shorts. It looked more like a skirt to me. It also looked as though the light source is pretty bright, because the lines were fading into the while background. But it looks pretty cool! ^-^

i'd like to know what programme you used and what this medium of art is called. This image is amazing and i kinda wanted to go into this type of medium. if you could answer the questions please it would very helpful, thankyou.

@C00LMN The software is called OpenCanvas, and I used brushes and eraser tools only. It is just called painting, since all you do is paint rather than outline and fill in (unlike drawing or colouring). I hope it helps. x

@Vocaloid898 Me too, I drew her from memory and for some reason I remembered her as though she wears a skirt.. Then I noticed that something doesn't look right and I checked original image, and fixed the mistake.

see, i draw by hand and you made computer art look so easy when it is so hard for me to even just draw a circle on it.

there are times where i wish i could do like you do, but i dont want to get too in over my head. how different would a tablet be?

Hey, thanks! Though there are far better artists at anime than me. =)

Basically using pencil/pen and tablet is not the same. Most people feel it is more difficult using tablet than mouse. Also, you need good free-hand sketching skills to be able to use tablet well, therefore I suggest practicing with a pen/pencil + paper.

Then you need to learn to control your mouse decently, then move on to graphics tablet.

@Nadyusha its actually not too hard to transition from traditional methods to tablet. i did it with an intuos 3 back in the day. but theres always some frustration... so i just got a cintiq 12wx. problem solved. its exactly like pen on paper. =D
