I think whether Godzilla was American or Japanese, he would've killed the Cloverfield Monster because it is still young. the idea of C.M. (cloverfield monster) was taken from an old film where a monster came out of the sea and attacked new york. after they killed it it's mother came, was 3 times the size and was pissed.
