This is really more about bad communication on the other team because it should always be known if the setter is not setting from the back court position therefore not requiring a block if they jump like this.
i wonder how can we know which part of the opponent's court is empty when the game is playing? because if we turn our heads and look, the opponent will know 'oh you're gonna aim there' kinda stuffs
it takes a lot of practice but for me since im the setter i can always see them cuz i have half my body facing my team and half the other teeam...while all my other teamates are looking forward...
@forgerabyss not really, setters are supposed to turn and look to see where the block is going, to help decide where to set. its hard to do but with practice it can help your dumping and your hitters be successful
Another thing these videos teach is not only different setter dump techniques, but several are a "what not to do" as a defender. I especially like the one at 2:57, where the entire defene has managed to put itself in about a ten foot rectangle from the net to the end line.
That setter on the far side was a very gifted offensive player. She had dumped a few to the middle of the court, so the near team's defense shifted to cover the middle. The setter recognized the shift in defense and then attacked the perimeter.
next please dont do a slo mo..takes up too much time -_-

Is this setter signed anywhere, she has great court vision, reminds me of a girl I played with.
