  • Headcrabs are waiting for you!

  • Aluminium powder or aluminum? :)

  • find in google language tree.. .. slavic absolute different part of tree than baltic languages..

  • huh...but I checked and it says that Latvian and Lithuanian are Balto-Slavic languages..

  • You are absolutely frong:

Proto indo european has 5 branches:

    1. Slavic , (and under slavic are 3subcategories where are Russian , Belarussian Ukranian, Czech, Polish, Slovak, Sorbian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Macedonian, Serbian, Slovenian, Old church Slavinic.)

    2. Br. - INDO IRANIAN where are sanskrit, old persian and so one..

    3. Br. - BALTIC where are Latvian and Lithuanian + dead Old prusian.

4 Br. Albanian - where are Greh and Tosk

    5. Branch Armenian with single armenian..

  • There are even no that kind of termin Balto-Slavic :D

Latviana with russian is so similar like chinase with latin :D

  • Valdis-Vlad...Galva-Golova...Durvis-Dverj...Uguns-Ogonj...Ediens-Eda...Roka-Ruka...Zobs-Zub...Nagi-Nogti...Kruze-Kruzka...Nazis-Noz...Siena-Stena...Sirds-Serdce...Svets-Svyatoi...Kresls-Kreslo...Zelts-Zoloto...and thousands of many other words, if you would know Russian you could tell how similar they actually are (without looking the diference of Cyrillic alphabet) by the way did you know Lithuanian is very similar to Belorussian?I guess you didn't...

  • Many words established at the time of Russian rule form 18th century, but form 7th century Baltic tribes was assimilated and ocupied by slavic culture far from Volga river. Even name of Russian capital comes form protobaltic languages. Words You named indeed transformated in Latvian, Lithaunian languages, but some of them have other sinonyms preserved in western dialects.

  • Dont be stupid.. Valdis ha ha... main words in culture must be like.. LV , RUs so.. Tēvs - Otec , ŪDENS - Voda , .. Dievs , Bog ... so dont find words with just first capital.. ha ha.. i can not post here link with language tree.. but you are looking so funny... You forget ... Statoil - Statoil.. :D :D.. Latvian language can not understan any people who knows russian.. but who knows russian can understan meaning Belarussian Ukranian, Czech, Polish, Slovak, Sorbian, Bosnian, Croatian,

  • Dont make new history or be professor in linguistic in your 20 years :D.. i studied in university filollogy and working for translator :D

  • Well...If you studied as you say "filollogy" and you are "working for translator", I do feel for the people who hire you. And how can you "make a new history" by the way?

    Man....where do I live...

  • what is filollogy, nobody ever heard of that subject, loo==er

  • You and janis are both just a little bit.

Russian, Belarussian, Polish and other languages he mantioned, are slavic, bot it's wrong that man who knows one of them can understand other of slavic languages - there are lots of words similar but with different meanings.

Latvian is baltic language, but orgins of some words are Russian, bot there is lots of others, that are orgined in W Europ and are loanwords for both languages.

So you can say that all Indo-European languages are very similar

  • ha This accent was like russian speaks.. but not latvian accent.. latvian language is from indoeuropean language tree not slavic. And the name of person Must be Janis not Yanis.. in latvian language are not simbols like Y, X and Q and W

  • if you dont know slavic language is indoeuropean group, just for fact.

  • Learn English before you go explaining things to people. If an English speaker saw a name written as that starting with a "J" they'd read it as Janis, as in Janis Joplin....that is why they wrote it "Yanis", cos it *sounds* as the Latvian name.

  • Latvia is completely bankrupt. So they made this meteorite to make them happy.

  • Thats right. This was really interesting considering to news about politics and bankrupt s*its

  • I think that Estonia is compleately bankrupt - but then - they don't have a meteorite!

  • i blame israel

    its always israel

  • @mrlowdangle ALWAYS

  • If they're looking for the world's attention, why didn't they just stage a bubble-boy flight like we did in the USA.

    LOL-LOL-LOL

  • THAT is very suspicious.

  • This stinks like US govt involvement.

  • Quite pathetic way of boosting the nation's self esteem....

  • What's that ridiculous accent used for reading the text at the end? It's not Latvian by far. Come on people, if you don't know what a Latvian accent sounds like, why do you use something so utterly ridiculous? Yeah, the accent is a hoax...

  • dude that was a russian guy from RT reading out the statement from the Latvian telecom company.

  • Hahahahahahahhaha.................

  • We saw a weather balloon flying over the sky with a boy inside that after all was a hoax... now we see the fall of a meteor that is also a hoax... we are being trained to not believe what we see.

  • dirty latvians

  • This is a cover up!! - Remember Roswell.....hello!!!

  • ok its a cover up. what are they covering up though? cos it looks like a bit of metal on fire. not really an alien or anything.

  • who knows! there are some strange things going on in this world. My guess is we are being prepared for something that is coming!

  • Shame on you Tele2

  • Latvia must be in deep ....

  • Its like the Balloon Boy Family Hoax just for a whole country.

  • Weird... really weird.

  • I'm claiming for my wasted time

  • why would a telecom company fake a meteorite crash as a publicity stunt this whole thing is fishy.

  • same thoughts here....can you say cover up.....then the thing as 1 ton..who would do that?

  • Wow. So now it's okay to lie as long as you offer compensation?

This world just keep getting darker and darker.

  • How?
