You just have to sync them, adding delay for RSE or midi, depending your sound card etc. In my previous computer I didn't even have to add any delay, everything worked fine, midi + RSE I mean.

I want to speed up the tempo at one point through my song. When I try to change the tempo it does it for the whole song...I just want it from that part on. Anyone know how to do this?

Go to the point of the song where you want to change the tempo. Than enter the Mix Table(F10). When you check the last Checkbox you can change the tempo. Notice that it effekts all tracks but wil only shown (and only can be removed) in the track you write it into.

All you have to do is press the button to the left of the stop/play before you start the song. I think it actually says RSE on it. of course you need the full version of guitar pro to use it. i don't think it works on the free trial. good luck!

If you are wanting to capture it as a video, you'll need to buy a utility like SnapZ (for Mac). There is a WAVE Export function. If you export it as .wav file you can then convert the .wav to an .mp3 using a variety of freeware (just google .wav to .mp3 converter). Best of luck.

Hey, I my guitar teacher got me onto this. You can quite easily download it illegally, not saying that you should, otherwise it would cost you around $50 for the full thing. I can highly recommend it though. You can also use a free program called power tab but it has nothing on this.

If you downloaded a Guitar Pro file of Metallica, however made the file set the sounds. You can go in an choose the sounds for each instrument (i.e. which electric guitar sound, which amp, effects) and create your own mix.

i don't like it the sound engine, because the sound of the guitar is too distortioned and always gets ringing. Also many sounds of the Drums and Cymbals get lost, like the fast hi hats rythm... the snare and the bass drum are very difficult to hear, you must accentuate them hear it. i prefer to use the midi sound.

sometimes you have to allow the instrument to use the RSE bank, for example, in the window where you select the instrument (distortion guitar, pick bass etc), in the right of the window it has 2 radio buttons; "use MIDI" and "use RSE". Turn the RSE option on, then go into this window, and click the "use RSE" button.

That is a possibility, but the only thing i can think of it being is that when you were installing, you didn't select the option to install the RSE bank. Best thing to do would be to reinstall ,and make sure that you install this bank. Guitar Pro 5 itself is only about 10MB, the banks are something like 100MB. (not sure thats relevent, but may explain how this option could have been unchecked)
