I like playing GOW a lot more but its story makes no sense, where do the locusts come from? in the second one you see their super old looking buildings but how are we supposed to believe that they were under ground with all these giant monsters for hundreds or thousands of years and no one ever saw them? or how about why is the locust queen a human?

Just for people who don't know, here is my understanding of the locust:
The locust was the race that lived under Sera's surface. They met the lambent, a parasitic life form that was able to basically infect the locust and they had a war between them. The locust queen made a deal with a scientist named Adam Fenix, the father of Marcus Fenix (main character)

Adam was able to make a weapon but it would kill the locust as well (don't know why), that is when Emergence Day started. (SKIP TO END OF GoW 2) The humans sunk the tunnels of the locust. Later on the lambent surfaced and started attacking. (SKIP FEW EVENTS IN GoW3) Adam activated the weapon but killing himself as well
gears of war just copied the horde from halo and halo theres just so much more to it than shooting people theres forge,custom games,custom game types and the multyplayer is huge and if you look at the teaser for halo 4 the graphics just own all I have to give it to halo ps, gears isnt more "grown up" than halo just beacause theres guts and more blood stupid

Golden Eye , Doom , and Tom Clancy games started shooting Genre , But Halo changed it all for the World of shooters its Mutiplayer was beast really everything about was awesome. Halo is still fun till this very day well now its starting to act like Call of Duty , that I dont like . Then in 2007 Halo 3 came out it was the best exclusive game that sold . 14 million copies . Then in 2006 Gears of War came out and was the 1st game to ever have amazing graphic of this Gen of consoles .
I would want to say halo. But after reach and odst came out halo went down the drain. Those were horrible games. While gears of war have 3 amazing games in a row. Gear of War all the way. Plus marcus is a better main character.
One thing I like about Gear of War 3 is that when someone rage quits in multiplayer then someone else takes his or her place. In Halo when someone rage quits you have to deal with that shit the entire game.

Personally I Think Halo is A Way Better Game, Better Storyline, Better Campaign, Better Multiplayer. The Storyline And the Gameplay. Makes you feel Like your Master Chief, Or The Spartan in (Halo Odst, Halo Reach). It Brings You're Attention to the game and you can play it with a couple of friends in Splitscreen or Online or the Campaign for Hours. Lets face it, Without Halo. There wouldn't Be Gears of War. Halo, Changed the way of Multiplayer and 1st Person shooters in a whole new Direction.
I for one love Gears for it's downright amazing story and for it's unbeatable multiplayer. Let's talk about "unfair" gameplay, since that seems to be the big "problem" with Gears. If you actually analyze it, you would see how balanced the system actually is. Let's take the chainsaw for instance. It's a one hit kill but with a long kill animation, leaving the player vulnerable to opponents. Let's also factor in the fact that, with the chainsaw revved, the player moves at a slight jog. This leaves the player vulnerable as well. Not to mention that if they take a certain amount of damage they will flinch, essentially ending their life with the next shot. Shall I disprove any other forms of "unfair" gameplay?

Halo should have ended at 2 after that the games just suck. Gears is more mature, darker, and more brutal. halo is bright vibrant and little kids play it much more. Gears def. takes more skill where as halo just depends on who shoots who first. You cant get away where as if you get shot first in gears you can duck dive and run away.
Gears is cool but i find its a bit clunky at times. Like i kind of have to steer this charging bull around to move around which is kinda cool cuz you feel like your CHARGING but still kinda clunky. I wish the guns had a bit more umph to some of them (like the basic assault rifles). And i dont particularly care for the story. Whereas Halo 1 alone stole half my childhood so Halo wins.

Gears of War because it has a good campaign and halo has a shitty one and in halo u can't take cover so u r a easy target in halo and you need medkits in halo while in gears of war u don't need medkits

in halo you dont really have to deal with campers, but lets be honest, all the campers and tagteamers should just go back to playing cod where they belong. for me halo3 was my introduction to shooters, once i tried gears, i thought it was better. personally i like the graphics portion of the game, maturity level really has nothing to do with it.
I prefer Gears. The characters have more personality and the players can see how the locust heard has impacted the world and how each character is affected by thier invasion. Plus the lancher

Golden Eye , Doom , and Tom Clancy games started shooting Genre , But Halo changed it all for the World of shooters its Mutiplayer was beast really everything about was awesome. Halo is still fun till this very day well now its starting to act like Call of Duty , that I dont like . Then in 2007 Halo 3 came out it was the best exclusive game that sold . 14 million copies . Then in 2006 Gears of War came out and was the 1st game to ever have amazing graphic of this Gen of consoles .

I would want to say halo. But after reach and odst came out halo went down the drain. Those were horrible games. While gears of war have 3 amazing games in a row. Gear of War all the way. Plus marcus is a better main character.

One thing I like about Gear of War 3 is that when someone rage quits in multiplayer then someone else takes his or her place. In Halo when someone rage quits you have to deal with that shit the entire game.

Personally I Think Halo is A Way Better Game, Better Storyline, Better Campaign, Better Multiplayer. The Storyline And the Gameplay. Makes you feel Like your Master Chief, Or The Spartan in (Halo Odst, Halo Reach). It Brings You're Attention to the game and you can play it with a couple of friends in Splitscreen or Online or the Campaign for Hours. Lets face it, Without Halo. There wouldn't Be Gears of War. Halo, Changed the way of Multiplayer and 1st Person shooters in a whole new Direction.

I for one love Gears for it's downright amazing story and for it's unbeatable multiplayer. Let's talk about "unfair" gameplay, since that seems to be the big "problem" with Gears. If you actually analyze it, you would see how balanced the system actually is. Let's take the chainsaw for instance. It's a one hit kill but with a long kill animation, leaving the player vulnerable to opponents. Let's also factor in the fact that, with the chainsaw revved, the player moves at a slight jog. Halo should have ended at 2 after that the games just suck. Gears is more mature, darker, and more brutal. halo is bright vibrant and little kids play it much more. Gears def. takes more skill where as halo just depends on who shoots who first. You cant get away where as if you get shot first in gears you can duck dive and run away.

Gears is cool but i find its a bit clunky at times. Like i kind of have to steer this charging bull around to move around which is kinda cool cuz you feel like your CHARGING but still kinda clunky. I wish the guns had a bit more umph to some of them (like the basic assault rifles). And i dont particularly care for the story. Whereas Halo 1 alone stole half my childhood so Halo wins.

in halo you dont really have to deal with campers, but lets be honest, all the campers and tagteamers should just go back to playing cod where they belong. for me halo3 was my introduction to shooters, once i tried gears, i thought it was better. personally i like the graphics portion of the game, maturity level really has nothing to do with it.
