  • To jest zajebiste!

  • Lovin the hair.

  • 3 people need to listen to this song again and then make their final decision lol

  • My absolute favorite christmas song EVER! best version ever! Best song!

  • Gorgeous! Just gorgeous. I loved the dancer--that was nice touch and would have liked to see more of her and less of the stars in the snow globe.

  • @donnahatch29 You can see more of the ballerina in the vid for BeBe & CeCe Winans' "The First Noel," taken from the same TV special.

  • I think sounds like a song from Soul Calibur 2 :S

  • 3 people hate christmas. XD

  • Why an I listening to christmas music in the middle of summer? Because this song is phenominal.

  • Can't touch that with a Manheim Steamroller.

  • every year i go to silver dollar city and they play this song with the giant christmas tree, i havent been there in 2 years now and when i heard this, i realized how much i miss that place

  • This is my favorite version of "Carol of the Bells." David Foster does a good job with it.

  • BTW....you rock for overdubbing the music--my VHS is lost somewhere in my house so I haven't seen it in ages to know about the announcer. Awesomeness!

  • This special is the reason I hunted down the CD...still a must play every Christmas. Hands down the best whole Christmas special ever broadcast--I liked EVERYBODY. And that's rare.

  • Wow. 17 Years later and this sing is still playing on the radio.

  • One of the most talented men ever. LOVE IT

  • I Love Trans Siberian's version. But something about this one, The Levels of Beauty and Intensity. This version drives me crazy when I hear it, I Love it soo much. I wish I was apart of it. Ugh. So Magnificently Beautiful. Lots and lots of Passion, looove iiiit.

  • This track is now finally(!) available for download on Itunes and Amazon. Merry Christmas!

  • @OceanKingNY I can't find it on iTunes! Help me! I love Michael Crawford and I want this album! Let me know soon.

  • @crawfordphan I don't know about iTunes, but this track is available on Amazon as an MP3 download for 99 cents. You can also download the entire album there.

  • @OceanKingNY @crawfordphan bump that! i just get mp3 downloads for free. Just go to an mp3 website, type in the song you want, press Save Link As, if it says mp3 file or something like that, you can download it.

  • Also featured in "The Mirror Has Two Faces". Buy on Amazon. David Foster "Carol of the bells" MP3 download.

  • My favorite song at Christmas time!!!

  • This arrangement is ON NAPSTER!!!!

  • @geom00 no one uses Napster since like 1999 lol.

  • Now this is music! not like those transiberian orchestra christmas music.

  • David Foster never let me down. Love his work on this piece.

  • this is definitely in my top 3!

but I can't decide which is first :-(

manheim steamroller, trans-siberian orchestra, or david foster?

  • I'm a HUGE TSO fan...but this version of this particular Christmas song is much better than Christmas Eve/Sarajevo (12/24). Not that that's a bad tune, but this one seems to be more powerful, or maybe on a grander scale. Bravo, Mr. Foster.

  • this is the best version

  • LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

  • luv it luv it luvt alot ;]

  • a masterpiece! pure, simple, and to the point! i love it! *^_^*

  • Wow! I don't know how I missed this all these years.

  • Tina better work that Brisé volé..... beast.

  • David Foster is absolutely amazing. I love his rendition of this piece. Man, Christmas can't come soon enough this year. :)

  • where an i download this version??

  • Amazon has it, but unfortunately, you have to download the entire David Foster Christmas album. For some reason, the individual tracks are not available.

  • Go to .beemp3.com. You can download it there. Merry Christmas.

  • this is the best song i ever heard!!! david foster is a damn good musician! I FREAKIN LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • When Susan Boyles contract is expired I pray that she gets to do an album with David Foster.

  • david foster is a freaking master, and needs to have his butt kicked for being this doggone good. just makes no sense!

  • I love this song :D

  • srry i asccedintly put thumbs down :D i meant 2 put thumbs up

  • Put this version on a well powered sound system & the bass will blow you away.

This is the best version of this song. Period.

  • i always get so excited when i hear this song. It's my favourite arrangement.

  • LOVE IT!!!!!!

  • much better than the trans siberian orchestra one i think

  • I agree. A lot of people seem to confuse the TSO version with the David Foster version.

  • What about David Benoit's version, have you heard it yet? If not, you should listen to it.

  • @gameshowguy2000 it's cool and jazzy... but it gets too sidetracked for me. i like it though... just not my fav, and doesn't have the bass power packed into this version.

  • @OceanKingNY I could see why, but I could also see why not. Are both versions on a grand scale? Yes. Are they epic? Most definitely. Is there and electric guitar on both versions? No. I think the Foster version is a little mood-swingy for my taste. It has diversity, but then again, you can argue that it lack consistency. On the other hand, the TSO version started as somewhat quiet and mellow, like a calm before a storm. Then it opens a can of whoop-ass for the duration of the rest of the song.

  • I disagree. I think the TSO version is my favorite, but this one takes a close second place.

  • First time I heard it I thought it was the TSO version lol.

    This 1 is more intense

  • @jibinsnbits Apples and Heavy Metal Oranges my friend. Why not just enjoy both for what each is trying to do and they both do so well! Merry Christmas.

  • @TheRadioAteMyTV Thanks Radio, your soo right. just enjoy them both, their both Extremely great.

  • @jibinsnbits No, not think. It IS

  • best version ever

  • This my favorite version of this song.

  • best version iv ever heard!

  • this reminds me of disney idk y

  • this is the best version of carol of the bells

  • I think this version is the best also.....

I took violin lessons as a child and gave it up because I thought it was boring....this song makes me regret that decision....the strings are amazing!!!!

  • I LOVE this arrangement!!!! :) BRAVO!!

  • Meilleure chanson de Noel , ça c'est SUR et CERTAIN!!

  • Between this song and Michael Crawford's "O Holy Night", this album is a must have this holiday season. I love this rendition of Carol of Bells. Very powerful!

  • man i love David Foster!!

  • This is the one I have been looking for in quite some time and now have put into my playlist. I love this song!

  • I just requested iTunes, that they get the song...hopefully, they will listen!

  • I noticed Ben Vereen was featured on that special..for those who don't know, he played Mayor Ben on Zoobilee Zoo.

  • I wish they would put this on iTunes...I'd rather have this version then the Trans-Siberian Orchestra version

  • I don't know why, but you can't download this track off Amazon either (you can only buy the whole MP3 album). This version is so popular every Christmas and gets so much airplay that they really should make it available as an MP3 single. They'd make a bundle!

  • Yeah, I've seen only the entire album (David Foster: The Christmas Album) available for purchase but they were out of stock (Amazon) only place I could find it. It's funny because it's the most popular version yet none of the radio stations actually announce the artist's name (not where I live) which made it twice as hard for me to find. I should send iTunes a request but until then, I'll settle for the audio from this video :)

  • I'd rank David Foster's version at #1, David Benoit's at #2, and TSO at #3.

If you haven't heard David Benoit's version, I suggest you do so.

  • How about David Benoit's version? Have you heard that one yet?

  • Can't say I have, but I'll be sure to look for it!

  • OMG, Micheal Crawford?! 0_0 Dang it, I missed this! I was only 3 at the time, and I became a fan of his after hearing him sing the OLC (Original London Cast) of 'Phantom of the Opera'! <3 But I looooove this version of Carol of the Bells! :D

  • Why don't they make Christmas specials like this anymore???

  • If only they used this during the Rockfeller Center Tree Lighting, that would be even better! Or even use the music during the Yule Log.

  • Tina Leblanc! Finally one video on youtube of one of America's finest ballerinas.

  • the besr composer ever!

  • Yeah, and I found his MySpace page today.

  • This is my all time favorite Christmas song and this is one of the best versions I've heard! I love it!!! 5 stars!!!!

  • Me too!! but ive been looking for a week! But then this afternoon they said his name on the radio so i came here.Btw i can play it on piano.but this version is sooo much better!!!

  • btw... who cant play carol of the bells on piano...

  • me, I forget how to play the piano

  • I can't! =D

  • I've played a duet version of it on piano with my sister.

David Benoit can play a really good solo piano rendition.

  • I've been looking for this version for the last 3 days. They play it all the time on the radio stations around here but I could never catch it. Finally...YOUTUBE bails me out, again! Love this version. One of my favorite holiday songs...ever.

  • is this the full song?

  • Yes it is.

  • what an awesome version of this song!!

  • Look how young and "90's everyone is?? LOL. I Love it

  • yeah, David Foster looks significantly different now in those American Idol appearances he has made.

  • I still watch this every year

  • This song is beautiful!!!!!!

  • This is terrific! I had the CD when I was in college, so I've known about the music for years (Carol and Crawford's O Holy Night being two wonderful highlights)...but I had no idea it was a Christmas Special! How cool!

I'm curious as to how/why Crawford's O Holy Night then showed up on the Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas Special...hmmm...

  • Yes, this was a great Christmas album, and the special was produced to promote the CD that year. But it was buried in the TV schedule on a Friday night, so I'm not sure many people saw it.

I guess Michael Crawford got permission from David Foster to use "O Holy Night" in the TSO show. But Foster seems to be pretty generous about that. He allowed several of the guest stars on his album to include their song on their own Christmas CDs throughout the 90s.

  • My favorite version, too. Small World.

  • This is my FAVORITE version of Carol of the Bells. LOVE it.

  • You know, a lot of people seem to like this version -- they use it as background music for their outdoor Christmas decorations -- but very few folks seem to know that the artist is David Foster.

If more people knew what artist to search for, maybe this version would sell more copies.

  • Ha, I remember seeing this when I was a kid. My dad actually got me up out of bed to see Wynonna, cuz I really liked country music back in the day (still do)...

  • Wynonna sang "Blue Christmas" on this special, and it was one of the highlights (I've uploaded that one, too).

You have obviously had great taste in music since you were very young! :)

  • Don't go that far. My dad introduced me to The Judds, and being the impressionable young person I was, I went along with it. I still love The Judds. But back then I had the Cyrus Virus like crazy.
