  • You should show us how to play mojo pin

  • Thanks it helped heaps, I'm a practical learner so reading tab off of paper or on screen doesn't make sense, I also learn by ear. Absolutely love this song and Jeff all together.

  • In the part of the C note I prefer to play Cadd9 like this -> x32033

The little E cord is pressed in the 3th fret.

    Sounds better

  • theres that Em9th!!!....thanks much....

  • heeeeeey ?marke! im a newbie to guitar but not to buckley. im having problems creating the same key sound as you are in this video. i looked at ultimate guitar tabs but they must have it in another key because i have agreat ear also and its def not the same key as the real song. help????

  • Ah, thank you! I get it now.... And no worries, you explained rhythm just fine!

  • Nice lesson! Just for the record, the C chord on this first progression is a Csus2 and has an added 5th (G) on the high E string, so the voicing is CDGDG. At least it is in the original album version. The rest of the voicings aren't as relevant but that high G can be heard clearly and really gives the song part of its character :)

  • I love you!!!! thankss!!!

  • @missyoujenn :)

  • great tutorial - you're an excellent teacher!! thank you very much.

  • @davesontour - Thanks for the compliment!

  • wow! really good lesson! I've found a lot of different versions, but I feel like this is one of those songs you need someone to take you through to be able to learn it. awesome work, cant wait to learn the rest!

  • @BeatlesFan1962 - I'm glad I could help!

  • Not easy for a beginner... really.... not easy ...... but you took alot of effort into your explanations... good job... i think i really picked up some new things!

  • @questionmarke

  • hey just shut up and play ..other then that good job

  • You are awesome! I have had multiple people try to teach me guitar but they were never detailed enough so I'd get frustrated and quit. I've been re-inspired

  • That makes me very happy! Thanks for saying so. Best comment I've gotten in a long time!

  • @riannon2563 - Glad to hear it!

  • buckley is one of my all time favourites and his choice of chords and melodies always inspire me so much, ive written a lot of songs based around chords that ive learnt from your videos so thankyou very much for taking the time to do these videos! so much better than finding crap tabs on the net! Jacko, x

  • Excellent!

  • 1:20 hey, it's okay to give yourself a LITTLE bit of credit, you're talented, but it's nice of you to let others say it for you.

  • thank you!!! :D

  • Thanks ?mark. you helped me re-kindle my relationsship with my guitar. I have now a new chellenge. my voice. these lessons were fun. hope you fell good for what you are doing. Thanks again.

  • That's great! Enjoy playing and improving...

  • Thanks VERY MUCH FOR THIS!!!!

  • But of course!

  • Man...your tutorials are superb. I would like to thank you for being so clear, didactic and thorough. I love JB and one of the unfinished business in my life was to be able to play his songs and to sing at the same time (usually only sing...). Now I can properly do it.

Once I record myself a video of a J.B. song I will let you know, so that you can give me your sincere opinion.

    Greetings from Spain!

  • Very cool!

  • Again, awesome thanks!

  • can someone type the strumming order???

  • Thank you so much, you are wonderful !

  • thankthankthankyou SO MUCH for posting lessons for jeff buckley songs. Iv learnt how to play this song (thanks to you) and Iv only been playing for 2 months. I really appreciate the time you've taken to teach the songs of such a great artist.

p.s. I made a youtube acount especially to thank you. lol. I just thought it was necessary...........also,..a lesson for 'so real' would be amazing *hint* lol. Thanks again dude.

  • Very cool! So Real is the next song I will do (one of these days....)!

  • Awesome lesson. Thanks for this. I never expected to find a lesson for this in video form, it's pretty admirable that you learned from ear as well and not from technical studies.

  • Actually, I don't think this one was by ear. Last Goodbye and parts of Grace were. Perhaps a few parts of this one. But I think I found a tab for Lover and then did a few of my own things from there. Anyway, glad you found the lesson helpful!.

  • Oh well, still awesome. Thanks again!

  • Standard Tuning?

  • Yep, standard tuning.

  • Mate, thanks so much for this! its my favourite buckley song and have tried to learn it for so long but need some help and this is great. ;)

  • just a quick question, for the strumming pattern i realise you said it is hard to teach rhythm, but would it be possible to annotate the strumming pattern in terms of upstrokes and downstrokes? i dont think im hitting the right strum thats all. thanks

  • Hm, I'll take a look at that here in a day or two when my life slows down for a moment...

  • Mate you are a Legend - Thanks so much for this!!

  • Nice! I've never been a legend before! Feels good.

  • Haha - this song is something special to me and I have been dying to come across what you have done!! and hey what is your guitar?

  • It's a Sigma ... the economy line of guitars made by Martin. I've had it for sixteen years!

  • too bad they stopped making them last year. (2007)

  • wow great lesson thanks a lot. any chance of doing a lesson on hallelujah?

  • You know, I've never learned Jeff's version of Hallelujah. Perhaps one of these days....

  • Thank you for this

  • You're welcome.

  • Hey you actually did it, you took my suggestion! Thanks man this is great

  • Absolutely!

  • I think the technical term for "tiny notes" is "Grace notes". And thinks for showing the rhythm in a intuitive way. I hate when people do that down-down-up-down stuff, its a guitar not an NES.

  • Ha!

  • Dude you're my new best friend haha! No but seriously, thank you so much for these videos. It's so much fun to tune in to your channel and learn these songs. You're a great teacher. thanks again.

  • Hey, I really appreciate that! Thanks for saying so. I'll post more lessons as I have time.

  • you know what would be awesome? if you taught us what will you say, hint hint. haha.

  • Ooh, I LOVE that song! I've got the music for it back at home but don't know it yet. That'll be a good one to teach someday when I finally learn it. Thanks for the request.
