They cannot of course comment on the miracles surrounding his life. I have not read about Mithra yet, but I find it interesting that a man lived a real life that paralleled such a story. That is incorrect. The majority of CHURCH historians (not historians) agree that there was a historical Jesus. They don't agree on who he was though. They don't know who he was. They just assume he existed. They cannot even be sure he was called Jesus.
If he did exist, which he probably didn't, then his plight would be nothing like the Gospels.

No. I am saying the Jews where defeated by the Romans and they destroyed Jerusalem. They then wrote the New Testament. As far as I know the Jews are STILL awaiting their Messiah, the covenant is not broken.

@PrinceFelipe Romans are nice people but I wouldn't say that I'm direct friends with any of them. The closest would be Mario at "Osteria da Giordino". Rome itself is nice too, but far to many Bengali salesmen for my taste.
Satan is a most modest fellow. He might have a reputation of being a lying, sneaky bastard, but don't worry, I'll watch my back. And of course if I die and it turns out that people like you are the one who comes into his kingdom, I'll probably prefer hell.

@Murmaks Good I am glad you are deceived that hell is a good place, that happiness you get from harming others will be gone just as it was for men like Ted Kennedy who died peacefully then woke up in hell for serving the devil. @Murmaks Sorry the talk you are doing is occultism similar to Hindusim. When you become a christian you start to do what God tells you to. If God tells you to go to Cambodia then that is his will, but if God tells you to stay where you are and serve him there then stay there.

But can't we work out some kind of compromise? What if I follow the teachings of Siddharta Gautama? A path that keeps me away from evil, while not necessarily following the commandments of Christ by the book.
