There are a group of "real life" super heroes in the New Bedford, MA area. They've been covered in the local paper a couple of times and they train in at least one of the local Martial Art schools.

I think the most notable thing they've accomplished is getting the crap kicked out of one of their members by a couple thugs during a Breaking and Entering..

They do exist, and I applaud them for trying to keep the streets safer.
