The CREST GUARDIANs were poorly selected, especially for the water and fire ones. I know that if they weren't like that, then they'd be near impossible to beat...

But seriously? A flame manipulator for the Water Scroll and an ICE dragon for the fire scroll?

the point is that to liberate the crest you must defeats its guardian using the corresponding scroll, thus proving your mastery of it and your worthyness to use the power of the crests. besides, would you rather have fought the frost dragon with a bunch of little bubbles and the relic keeper's fire demon with a stream of fire?

If you ask me, it's actually proving you have the power to defeat Dark Lumina, since when you kill all five, you can free him by liberating the Sky Crest.

So how about using water scroll to kill a ice dragon? Is that making sense?

Oh no, using the scrolls in the way like that is almost guaranteed to stop your gameplay in your tracks.

Aside from that, I said "I know if they weren't like that, then they'd be near impossible to beat".

Besides, there could have been some "better" choices, but that would have involved completely restructuring the storyline for Chapter 3 (that is, a ground manipulator for the water guardian, shoot dirt with water until he gets stuck in mud, then hit his core as he flails about.)

Yeah I don't know what that is all about... I didn't do anything different.

I found a processing format that works better and lets me get 30FPS within the YouTube restrictions, so hopefully it will be a little better during these runs.

Actually, it is very easy. This guy only has a few moves, and his pattern is the same every time.
