Asking for this to be a campaign ad? Do you not realize what his amazing message tries to get across? It should never be directed towards one persons accomplishment as president, if that is even an accomplishment. For the people, not a ruler, figurehead, or any one person chosen to supposedly stand above the rest.

I think when Chaplin says "Greed has poisoned mens souls" and "But do not despair, the misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed" he is quite openly attacking capitalism. I believe Paul said on more than one occasion that greed is a good thing. Chaplins Monsieur Verdoux was another direct attack on capitalism. Its pretty evident that if Chaplin met Ron Paul, he would not want to associate himself with him. Stop associating this great man with scum politicians. Paul is no different.

@Thekillerrrsss True, I think he might have possibley endorsed Ron Paul given Ron Paul is the only anti-war candidate... He is definately more neo-liberal in his economic policies but Romney or President Obama endorse corporatism rather than capitalism.

I think that while Chaplin would not support Ron Paul on economics that he would back him on his social and war policies, that is atleast my view.

Yes, Chaplin stood for different things, but the sentiment is important. The speech jives with my feelings on Paul. If the speech is incompatible with Paul, it is not any more compatible with the other candidates, including Obama.
