I remember going to a Loverboy concert in 1983. I wasn't really looking forward to it. I was interested in their opening act, Huey Lewis. But LB blew me away. They were great in concert. With this song, they used lasers which created an awesome effect with this song. One of the best concerts I ever went to.
Can hear if you listen the way their production values on their music came up a fair bit, by the time this track was put out ... much crisper guitars, drums with a bit more punch. Good song! Mike Reno can sing his ass off
Lover Boy always kick ass, In college :Oregon jam 1982 and 1983 and just two years ago Boone, Iowa. I have seen them 10 times and a great show ever time. Thank you guys for the great music. Dan From IOWA.
Took me a while to remember the title of this song to locate it on utube. It's not a played song, It was one of my favoite jamms!! Brings back old memmories!! Glad I quit smoking that stuff
this song used to be one of my top 5 pregame songs on my cassette I listened to before every fooball game I played in college. Great hightlight reel song too..

Wow! Thanks, Yankeerob17, for putting this up! Loverboy has always been one of my favorites, and this song was my "running" song. They were all about success and sex - and today's artists just don't put this kind of passion into their music. Great to hear Strike Zone again! :)
I've not heard this song in years. It's great. These guys could rock. I want this album but I can't seem to find it anywhere and I've looked everywhere. eBay included.
I've always liked this song from Loverboy, one of my favorites. Your solution is simple...a friend of mine years ago had this "cat at the canary" grin on his face and said "welcome to the world of downloading". The rest is history...I had your same situation with another song that I couldn't find anywhere, including ebay.

Dear World,
The 80's called. They said to tell you that today's music is unbelievably bad and you should return home as soon as possible.
Your friends,
The Kids of the 80's

Great post! One of my favorite Loverboy tunes of all time. If I remember, this song is actually about Canada and nuclear war.

Yes, it is. I was a HUGE loverboy fan when this album was out and they took some flack for writing it.
