  • Because he had as he often does already painted himself into a corner. Not only does he not answer the question he rather proves a contradiction when he expounds on past presidents and aligns himself with them. You can't have it both ways Obama. People need to open their eyes and listen attentively, there is no substance here.

  • That is the greatest come back. He's a hero.

  • Obama for President!

  • Notice that Clinton's advisors are all with Obama! not on her side! hmmm. Obama will surround himself with reliable and trustworthy people. We are coming along nicely and so far there hasnt been any skeletons coming out on Obama. Lets have a newly elected LEader and not a dynastic person who thinks it is HER RIGHT.

  • He is so much smarter than her.

What a concept! Someone intelligent in the white house for a change.

  • Hillary has yet again displayed her lack of respect for sincere question answering; that ridiculous and ill timed hackle of hers, illustrates her unwillingness to take responding to questions seriously. Obama displayed his character, responded accordingly, and she then shut up. Case closed!

  • You tell them BARACK!

  • I cannot get enough of this clip. His riposte is brilliant, but the more important message to Dems should be this: Do we want to take the chance that we nominate another person who, though smart, is arrogant and obnoxious. Gore's sighs were obnoxious, and while those sighs should not have cost him votes, they did. Hillary's arrogant laughter is ten times ruder than Gore's sighs, and the independent voters who hold the ultimate power cannot stand that kind of rudeness.

  • he diddnt really answer the question did he now!?

  • Obama, is totally for Abortion, and therefore anything he says after that is meaningless.

The most basic civil right is the right to life, and Obama is AGAINST it!!!!

  • Strong.

  • HRC's laugh aka "cackle" definitely sounded scary. I love how she shut up after Obama said he'd have her as an advisor. Obama 08.. Your the real deal!

  • How to break laughter?

..... Obama's great response to Clinton's obnoxious and deriding laughter. Repartee followed by an intelligent and concise answer.

  • lol backhand...

  • Barack, you're so classy. It's going to be nice to have a president you actually get excited to see and listen to, as opposed to us groaning in fear and embarrassment anytime our current leader stands behind the podium.

  • that would be the best president USA ever had

  • evil laugh! presidential come back!

  • Brilliant response! Not only did he create a genuine applause of HIS OWN, he stole hers as well! He took all the hot air out of her lungs and used it to his advantage. Great verbal judo!

Genuine man with a comprehensive answer

  • He doesn't support a permanent occupation. He would have some troops to guard the U.S. embassy just like we do in other countries. In case of any terrorist threats he would have a strike team on call. But the war WOULD be over within the first year of his Presidency.

  • you say "all" like there's alot of them there are only 3 people from the Clinton Administration and only one of them has anything to do with foreign policy.

Obama is about bringing people together unlike polarizing Hillary who wants to continue fighting the same old fights.

  • HAHA!

  • I wish I could advise Obama, I'd have him read Noam Chomsky; Al Gore got wise to him as well.

  • For the real skinny read Noam Chomsky. Alex Jones hates him and Hugo Chavez loves him; you have to love that.

  • we had a word for this in the Army.

    "SNAKE-BITE".....lol.

  • Obama Obama Obama

Open your eyes. The people who run Bush the first are no different, neither is Clinton advisors.

  • He who laffs last laffs best!

  • 1. The question was obviously a plant from the Clinton camp, based on Ms. Cackler's response

    2. What a stupid question! People come and go from president (repub or dem) to president (from Reagan to Clinton to Bush) for ages, why is this all of a sudden new?

    3. In the face of adversity, Obama does it on his own, Hillary requires plants from the press / audience...

Therefore, Obama and not another Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLL

He just smacked the idiot soo hard !

lol, she wouldn't even imagine such an awesome answer !

  • Tax loving losers

  • Does anyone know what he actually said? "These people agree with me and I want to make America strong again because Bush was bad." Great job, Obama. Let's hear some more indecipherable manure reinforcing all our shallow political views.

  • Did you listen to what he said?

Obama wants to change the mindset that got us into the war in Iraq. He also stated that in every administration there ARE good people. Just because he has a couple people from the Clinton Admin. doesn't mean that they are bad people.

  • You're a moron. Obama is the man. Want more Clinton/Bush politics?

  • Nice--way to go--this guy is great.

  • ... but did you see Clinton's face? classic.

  • this says more about Hillary than about Mr O.

    I hope people were listening.

  • NICE COMEBACK!

  • OHH BABY! that was hella slick!

  • Search "Ron Paul" before making a decision. Let's vote for peace and freedom first.

  • Obama, One love.

    Go Obama.

  • After Obama's comeback she looks like she was thinking. "Whew, it sure did get hot in here!"

  • omg...hillary's fake laugh is so annoying!

  • Who else thinks that was a planted question? Answered very well with no preparation. Well done.

  • TELL YOUR FAMILY & FRIENDS! Make sure they're all registered to vote in the primaries! This is one election we can't just sit on the sidelines!

    ~jon

  • that was AWESOME. Hillary's going DOWN!

  • I wonder what kind of advise Barack will seek from Hillary?

    Perhaps, how to fake laugher!

  • Isn't that "Pat" from Saturday Night Live?

  • Get a clue! He is a copy cat at most. Nothing original from him only BS. It was clearly pointed out, he is nothing without the Clinton Team.

  • Very impressive answer. The slapdown of Hillary's rude interruption is all I saw before, but the man answered the question well and on his own terms. Nicely done, sir.

  • his poise, his clarity, his wisdom stand in stark contrast to madame clinton's tasteless mocking

  • What he says in full really didn't answer the question. He could have just said "I wonder why all of these ex-Clinton campers are working for me now instead of Hillary?"

  • heart!

  • Is this the "fun part", Hillary? lmao

  • The force is strong with this one.

    Obama 2008.

  • Grand Slam!

    Obama '08!

  • Senator Obama's intuitive quip and prompt follow up response only re-inforces my Belief that Barack is Presidential! Gotta Luv the Man!

  • When Obama is given more than a 30 second sound bite to answer substantial questions, he delivers some of the most thoughtful answers in recent memory. This is yet another example of him taking a potentially tricky question and absolutely knocking it out of the park - and the 1 line is just icing on the cake.

  • OBAMA'S VERY CLEVER I LOVE HIM

  • Could you hear the echo in the room from HRC's cackle after the comment on Obama lacking foreign policy experience, or was that just me?

    Talk about shrill!

Obama's Response:"well, I look forward to having you work in our administration"

Brilliant response! Not only did he create a genuine applause of HIS OWN, he stole hers as well! He took all the hot air out of her lungs and used it to his advantage. Great verbal judo!

  • Keeping Dennis and Mike out of the debate and none of the other democrats stood up or complained? and you want me to trust and vote for you?

    suit.

  • NEW HAMPSHIRE FOR OBAMAAAAA '08 !!!!!!

    ...(hes the cooler JFK)

  • OMG, Barack just won the nomination. This video should be edited into the next Obama campaign commercial, STAT.

  • Obama...I love you. You silenced that arrogant cackle of Hillary's and answered the question with style, substance, and grace. Good Fortune to you and your campaign!

  • Obama is THE MAN! Hillary is only drowning herself more. Obama 08 for Prez!

  • Owned!

  • Pawned, hahaha.

  • The real story is that the Clinton's have lost the support of the people who once were in Bill's administration...I guess they too know a good thing when they see it.

    Go Obama!

  • looks like Hillary's advising you to censor comments.

  • If all he can say about 'war'(which if we recall is not even a declared war and initiation of which has been proven conclusively to be a sham) is he is going 'to seek to change the mind-set that got us into war' and not "end it" well thats ridiculous . why is he even saying war?

    Peace

    Peace needs to be said

and Peace is being said by the candidates with true support

  • Composure...and grace under fire. A master stroke.

  • owned

  • Bammm!!! Take that.lol...hehehe. Thats got to be one the best comebacks in a presidential debate, ever. serves her right...hehe.

  • Hillary's laugh is so annoying but it's just a sign of how worried she is. She wants to pretend to the world that she can lead this country..yet her laugh its indicative of her insecurity. She sort of "hide" her insecurity and evilness behind that laugh. Her laugh and smirk appeared so childish.HRC should reserve her laughs for her husband. Oh..wait..it sounded to fake and evil. It's why he sought the company of Monica Lewisky. No wonder..

  • The laugh obviously wasn't from her heart.

  • Her what?

  • hillary's laugh sounds so evil.. hahaha...

  • First off let me say that don't consider myself a republican nor a democrat. In past elections I have rooted for (never actually voted, my own sort of silent protest) the republican candidate.

Now, I must admit, I want Obama to win. The more I see this guy the more I like him. And hey, anybody who can put hillary in her place like that almost deserves my vote. I may actually have to register to vote in this election. What a guy.

  • These questions aren't meant to be answered directly, they are to test the character of our next to be president.

  • obama is the man ;)

  • hillarys laugh is scary

  • This is political speak for STFU!

  • Barack, the wind is at your back! Go Obama, Go!

  • Do I smell love in the air? :)

  • why is there only six of them there?

  • Oh Hillary...

Nicely played, Barack! My God, that man is eloquent!

  • Amazing- it's undeniable, Obama's on a roll!

  • Obama's intelligent, speaks with clarity, conviction and an innate understanding of what it is going to take for America to recuperate from years of corruption and cronyism under the watchful eye of corporations and lobbyists. If we don't elect him, it will only hasten our country's circling of the drain.

  • wow, Very well said.

  • everyone starts somewhere... id rather follow someone who wants to start something then someone who just follows what is already there.

  • Then you should be following Ron Paul or Kucinich. Obama would just give us more of the same bureaucratic nowhere.

  • He is such a Smooth Operator

  • I was gonna say the same thing. SMOOOOOTH OPERATOR!!

  • This is why he gets my vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ...and why he will not get mine!!!!!!!!!

  • Hillary has a bit of a develish laugh doesnt she, hehe. World class come-back by Obama:)

  • 3rd comment! yay yay yay yay

  • "Hillary, I'm looking forward to you advising me as well." Great anwser! Hillary got an pretty evil laugh.

He is the first candidate who really wants to change something, the others seem to just want to lead the country.

  • Hillary's laugh has already gotten her in trouble... this was a fairly mild debate, and her laugh and comment there were about the only gaffe or mistake made by any candidate (besides her continual references to the 90s) and Obama seized on it perfectly.

  • stop laughing hilary

  • Awesome job Barack! I agree with the statement below that he should have stuck up for himself about not having experience with foreign policy. Foreign policy is in the toilet from the Bush religion. With a young, well spoken, black man we will be cool again! I LOVE IT! He is going to win!!!!

  • Great one-liner and good response.

I can't help being a little disappointed that he didn't fight back when the moderator accused him of having very little foreign policy experience. Foreign policy is an attitude- mutual trust, a hope for peace- and Barack's is fantastic.

  • His years in Indonesia are often laughed at, but they should be considered more seriously. Want peace in the Middle East? He was making friends with Muslim Indonesians in kindergarten. He has friends and family all over the planet.

  • EXCELLENT!

  • Hillary got OWNED!!! Go Barack!

  • How inappropriate for Clinton to (wickedly) laugh and speak out like that?

    Nice smack-down Sen. Barack!

  • That gotcha laugh from Hillary at :23 really says it all about her personality. One thing I can say is that Obama will not be swift boated by the "in" crowd in Washington.

  • Did you see Obama just giddy when Hillary butted in there! He was delighted!
