  • Everything was so happy and jolly, nothing perverted and depressing. Gosh, I wish these commercials came on tv now.

  • i remember that Pepsi coke commercial with that kid, damn its been a long time

  • @AcidBurn5009 Pepsi coke?

  • 7:49 Dude got a weird ass laugh

  • Those Flinstones glasses from the Pizza Hut commercial at 6:11 are $0.49 then, and sell for around $10 each these days.

  • If you're wondering what episode of Amazing Stories that is, it's called Without Diana. You can find it here on YouTube, but you might be crying a lot of you watch it.

  • WTF? You have to buy teddy or Rubby won't work? What BS!

  • I didn't know pepto-bismol made people do the tango. Interesting.

  • @brainboob lol

  • I was an 80's child. About 10 years old already.

But "Victory for women in the workplace" made headlines?????? :-0

  • i want to watch that episode of amazing stories

  • thank you for these, I was 11 at the time and actually living in the east bay (If you consider Fairfield, CA east bay) at the time

  • The Tortellis!

  • cheesburger 59 cents damn

  • @xXxSTENCHxXx yep, cheesburgers @ McDonald's were 59 cents when I was in high school...they were that price for a long time if i remember correctly. Now most places just bump the price up every 6 months to a year. Sad, what went wrong that corporations got so greedy?

  • @xXxSTENCHxXx yep, cheesburgers @ McDonald's were 59 cents when I was in high school...they were that price for a long time if i remember correctly. Now most places just bump the price up every 6 months to a year. Sad, what went wrong that corporations got so greedy? oh, and "kind of thin" John Goodman @ 0:41 ha ha.

  • i remember when restaurants gave away glasses

  • "Even when their wet they are dry." Poptarts? Nope just Pampers

  • the 80s are so great when evrything was normal!

  • Teddy Ruxpin, that was like the best teddy bear I had omg lol...

  • i miss amazing stories

  • Man I love the design of the seven up can. It's so simple but cool!

  • everything seemed bright and sunny back then. Nothing beat saturday mornings in the 80's. It is something I will never forget. Oh and lets not forget things like reading rainbow, the movie loft, creature double feature...etc etc

  • @MrDanno19 Reading Rainbow was my show. I will never forget that show.

  • I didn't know you could Conga....I CAN'T!!! LMAO

  • Awesome!

  • Who wants to help me build a time machine and travel back in time to live the 80's just one more time or for that matter just stay there..You never know what you have till its gone.

  • the 80s before low cut ass crack jeans :) I wish the high wast would come back.

  • Max Headroom! Awesome! I think I saw Ed Asner on the last commercial as well.

  • I love the John Goodman 7up ad

  • I remember New York Seltzer! My mom used to buy it all the time Do they still sell it in California? Ahh, the less successful Grubby doll, Teddy Ruxpin used to be da boom for us 80s kids. I recall the Crayola promotion because my mom and stepdad took me(newlyweds at the time) to McDonalds just to get it!

  • New Coke lol I remember that crap it tasted awful

  • you could tell the kid was going to choose pepsi because the camera lingered longer on the pepsi logo

  • exotic food means a hard shell taco....Hmmm? Silly Pepto!

  • i loled at the commercail when the guy said freeze to the lady with a price scanner

one more thing i was born 2001 (10 years old)and i love the 80s because i never seen anything from then and most shows today like dan vs and fanboy and chumchum suck so i really hope that the hub (plays alot of 80s shows like transformers and honeyishrunk the kids tv show)even plays 80s commercails but i bet that will never happen but i might start a group on facebook to change that

  • It's so sad how Corey Haim passed...alone and broke. It goes to show you that fame is fickle...:(

  • Comment removed

  • So apparently Lady Liberty uses Sure deodorant as evidenced by the depiction of the Statue of Liberty on the commercial. This is big news people....

  • tht is a sucky happy meal

  • MAX HEADROOM!!!

  • Doc please lend us your Delorean. We hate this crappy decade and want to return to the 80s where all of us gen exers belong.

  • @ClassicTVful

Well we have to go 88 mph:) and we need a flux capacitor :)

  • @ClassicTVful I wish!

  • Wow the value of our dollar is not what it once was...

  • I totally had those glasses.

  • John Goodman's wife got fat fast, must have been the ice cream

  • ...I also remember the summers not being quite so hot...

  • The 7-Eleven commercial says Eveready batteries yet they're showing Energizer... and they're way cheaper than now... D@#! you inflation and crappy economy!!! I miss the 80's... they were my golden years. The summers lasted forever... *sigh*

  • @pb9882 The company history is confusing, but at this point Energizer was a brand of batteries produced by Eveready. These days it's the other way around.

  • Night Court was such a good show!

  • New coke :(

  • John Goodman!

  • raise your hand if your sure!

  • thank you for bringing back memories man :)

  • Art set with a Happy Meal??! FTW

  • The 80's were still a great time in America. How I miss them =/.

  • Every decade should be like the 80'S.

  • Iron Will is a good rip off of Stonefox.

  • Mad Max said that New Coke tastes better than the original. Must have been a computer glitch.

  • The coke commercial was the scariest thing ever.

  • 80s baby here. I don't remember much of the commercials...except the ones for toys. Target Marketing success...

  • Stone Fox was one of the saddest movies

  • "It's incredibly thick and creamy."

  • Max Headroom pitching New Coke... "You said the P word"

  • Dan Conner!!!

  • These must be later remember more and night court awesome used to watch that show with my mom all the time.

  • feels so good coming down...lol

  • sigh, back when the pepsi logo didn't look so stupid

  • Amazing stories was to cool.

  • TEDDY RUXPIN WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE TOYS WHEN I WAS YOUNG!

  • Huh, I wonder how that New Coke thing turned out...

  • 5:22 Yeah, why do I have the strangest feeling I'm about to die?

    6:15 Flinstones Tie-in I assume.

7:21 Not if he does his business on you, you're not.

  • i wasn't born in the 80's.....but that McDonalds looks way better than today's.

  • @RachyPoo662 it was!

  • I WANNA' CRAYOLA HAPPY MEAL KIT! xD All we get it stupid little toys and you guys got stencels and crayons?! Not fair! Lol.

  • meh, i was technically born in the 80s but was too young to live it.

and i watched a lot of older shows anyway, even before 80s, like popeye, betty boop, daimos, hawaii 5-0, 60s batman, flintstones, and 3 stooges cartoon. i grew up on black and white tv in the early 90s.

  • Man I totally remember that Pepsi baseball commercial. I always thought it was clever.

  • is it just me or were the Happy Meals bigger back then?

  • now it's a crime to "soak" salad like that lol

  • I'm so glad I was a child of the 80s! from 1980 to 1989 I was 5 to 14 so I remember EVERYTHING!!!! THANKS FOR POSTING.

  • Teddy!!!!!!!!!!! I love Mr. Ruxpin.

  • i wish i was born in the 80 :( i was born in this decade

  • @AwesomexGirlx12343 me too!!!!

  • @AwesomexGirlx12343

You mean you want to born in the 70's so that you could be a kid in the 80's and actually remember it.

  • @periechontology yes thats what i mint

  • Man.....this brings back so many memories from my childhood. I was born in 1980. Things today are so much more complicated. I would do anything to go back to the 80's....maybe I need to get a hold of Michael J. Fox. Anyway everything was better then, the toys the cartoons, does anybody remember saturday morning cartoons? That's definately a thing of the past.....what a damn shame.

  • Does anyone remember the show "Roomies"? Yeah, me either.

  • @doomaflatchie

    Huh? I remember it.

  • omg.. Max Headroom!!!

  • that show Roomies looks good, I cant wait 'till Friday! but im gonna have to record Night Court on wednesday, anybody know how to set the timer on this VCR? I remember the newscast that said women victory in the work place.. cuz my mom came home and said she got a 40 cent raise lol

  • Oh man I remember that freaking Teddy Ruxpin song....how crazy is that!

  • i have the sudden erge to get a diet 7 up......... brb, going to 711....

  • 1:12 - It might sound weird but I really miss those McDonald's cups. My sister and I used to poke holes in the bottom and let them slowly drain out over the table when we left McDonald's.

  • I like coke better then pepsi but as I am typing this i'm drinking pepsi o.O

  • The 80's was a great decade, but this decade(2010-2019) isn't getting better at all and it hasn't even been a year and its already starting off on the wrong path and continuing to suck ass from 2000-2009.

  • @mjdc2505: I dunno. CN brought back the Cartoon Cartoons each afternoon, The Hub airs classics--Fraggle Rock, Carmen Sandiego, G.I. Joe, Transformers, Happy Days, Wonder Years, etc.--Nick is putting its 90's lineup both on DVD by Shout Factory & on TeenNick this fall, Disney is bringing back 2D Winnie the Pooh and is considering a Mickey Mouse full-length animated feature due to the success of Kingdom Hearts and Epic Mickey, & more.

  • Holy crap, I'm getting old! 1987 was the year I got my pilot's license!

  • AH!! I remember; the McDonald's Happy Meal came in a box!!! It comes in a bag now...

  • FYI Sprite is better than 7Up

  • @gigalin Um, generally people were thinner back then. American obesity rates have gone up exponentially since the 80's.

  • @gigalin not a very intelligent thing to say. Actually obesity in america is a much bigger problem now.

  • It's funny...a few years after the end of the 80's I thought it was such a lame decade. Now I think "it was totally awesome dude!" Not to mention the feeling of getting old.  LOL

  • I miss 80s Happy Meals. I remember when they came in sand pails and UFOs.

  • @MegaBabyRox Oh my God, I remember the UFO happy meal! Wow, did you just knock some serious dust off my mental archives with that statement!! haha

  • 4:41 I miss NY seltzer! I think they went out of business but their seltzer was really good!

  • The 80's had soul !!!

  • I have determined the 80s were the height of culture in this country. I miss 1987. Pretty much the entire decade rocked, unlike the shitty decade we're in now. It has a lot of time still to get better, but it probably won't get any better.

  • @astrosteve just wait till our next generation, electric food, electric clothes, electric everything.

  • @astrosteve IF I EVER SEE YOU ON THE STREET....you get a big hug.

  • OMG I so had a Grubby :D Miss the good 'ol days!

  • Remember "new Coke" It was terrible.

  • The 80's were the bomb!!!!! Life was a blast then. This decade sucks!!!

  • mcdonalds should go back to the old wrapper colors just for fun.

  • If I could put annotation at 0:51, it'd be "thumbs up for honesty"

  • These commercials were all goofy and fun. they had character. They were dumb .not like today's serious commercials. Now its all about technology. No more real fun :(

  • i wonder what all that food would be like if it survived until now

  • who keeps a box in their pockets anymore lol

  • 2:03 parent seizure

  • holy shit i had that toy at 4:58!! that flipper robot thingy....wow

  • I remember that Amazing Stories episode. The girl (Gennie James) disappeared while at a picnic, her body was never found, and 40 years later she shows up at her parents' front door looking exactly the same. Gennie was in "Places In The Heart" with Sally Field but hasn't acted in over 20 years now.

  • Ha. Those pizza hut flintstones glasses are totally available on ebay.

  • Kinda sad those babies are like 25 now.

What's even sadder is I remember these commercials like yesterday

  • HAHA @ John Goodman. Try to get away with saying "I hate her" these days in a commrcerial referring to your wife. He's a pretty intese guy as it is... I'm almost convinced he wasn't acting. :)

  • i remember watching captain EO it ws SOOO much fun, snd the effects were amazing

  • @Boogers4dinner nahh not even. Well almost, they're like 27 or 28 :)

  • "Even when they're WET they're DRY!" o.O?

  • Damn that cheeseburger was looking so good in that happy meal video. I was never a kid to play with the toy first. I ate my Mc Donald's first and played with the happy meal toy much later.

Those babies in the Luvs commercials are 30 years old now. LOL

People need to be more Sure in America. LOL

I'm having a 1980s Commercial Holy Ghost. LMAO

  • Diet 7up = Discrimination against skinny people?

  • 5:36 "Teddy Ruxpin's pal, Grubby. The best friend for your best friend . . . because you're not good enough."

  • @rellimsevens LMAO!!! That was hilarious what you just said. That was a good one.

  • 3:55 - 4:05 Hahahahahahahahhahaa... "Daddy!?....*SLAM*"

  • I keep expecting a show to come back on.

  • oh the old Mc donalds drink and fries logo. . i remember the big macs in the styrafoam boxes! and yes it tasted way better than now.

  • the narrator on the pepsi commercial, the one that says "Pepsi, the choice of a new generation" sounds like Martin Sheen

  • We cared too much about diapers in the 80s, clearly. I can confirm this from 80s TV recordings in my own collection.

  • 7-11 just 8.99 for 4 double A Batteries.

  • crayola markers havent changed in over 20 years haha

  • wow!! we certainally don't have those toys in our happy meals, wish we did that'd be awesome

  • "its incredible thick and creamy" hahahahaha

  • 4 crayols in 1 happy meal? you'd have to buy 4 happy meals to get that today.

  • New York Seltzer was SO good! I miss it!

  • mcdonald's looks better in the 80's

  • Ah, the 80s is a generation worth living in, low prices, good economy, singing in most commercials, but on the other hand, some 80s rackets were kinda creepy. :/

  • @ 3:43, haha, never heard of that series. OMG. Corey Haim and Paulie from the Rocky movies. ~ Can't believe that one never took off....=p

  • McDonald's actually tasted good back then!

  • i want pizza hut buffet back.........

  • OMG a teddy Ruxpin.....god i feel old LOL i was a kid in the 80's

  • I loved seeing the guy from "Square One TV" in the McD's commercial! (And I had the red stencil, too!) I also had the Flinstone Kids "Betty" glass, although since my family never ate at Pizza Hut, I have no idea where we got it. I think it's still in my parents' basement somewhere. :-)

  • That was cool seeing John Goodman in a Diet 7-Up commercial.

  • I miss New York Seltzer.

  • Muhmuhmuhmuh-maaaaax headrooooooom.

  • The "Flintstones Kids Glasses" look much better than the show itself.

  • Wow I remember every one of these commercials as if they played yesterday. I must have watched a lot of TV back in the 80's.

  • ahhh u never see anything being sold for 49 cents nowdays...

  • It's amazing how I remember every.freakin.commercial on this playlist, Love it!

  • ohh I miss the 80's! what great memories!

  • ahaha...John Goodman "I hate her"

  • Isn't that Ellen de Generes in the Rancher's Choice commercial?

  • @journey60 No.

  • @journey60 Her voice is too high-pitched, even though her facial features are very similar.

  • @journey60 lol maybe if Ellen was old in the 80s.

  • haha my grandma still uses hidden valley!

  • All I wanna know is where did the time go? I remember all these commercials and prices of things were no where near as high as they are now. Why can't we go back to when things were cheap in the 80s?

  • Thanks for the memories!!!!

  • JOHN GOODMAN !!!!
