  • Stalin with the high pitched voice also made me think of the Queen's Christmas Day speech!

  • I recognised Mussolini from Bill Bailey's Scale of Evil routine, where Bailey likens him to Kelsey Grammer from 'Frasier'!

  • Kevin, and all your friends, you are real..y.. from the seven teeth...there is no dope without hope...

  • Eric Stewart saw the video and said he liked it, especially the Strawberry references. Lol Creme, on the other hand, said he hated the song and didn't remember writing it with Kevin and Graham. Go figure. There was no word from the other two.

  • Here's what Kevin Godley said about this video in his email to me in November 2007:

I loved it. Lots of little things to find in there that you miss the first time around. Needs a little George W. don't you think?

Must've taken a while to plan and shoot.

    DAMN, GOOD WORK.

    Best.

    KG

Thank you, Kevin. I'm proud as shit. You guys are amazing!

  • @FlyingJunk Gotta agree with KG. Really funny vid for a great 10CC song. Respect:)))

  • LOL MJ!

  • In my opinion, your effort should be declared the official video for this outstanding song by one of the great bands of the 70's!! SUPERB!!!

  • @flem307 I totally agree. Thanks! Check out my other stuff.

  • @flem307 classic indeed !!!!

  • Extraordinary song that, given its imaginative quality, is woefully underplayed.

  • Extraordiary song that, given its imaginative quality, is woefully underplayed.

  • The video was hilarious! LOL!

  • Pure magic! 10cc and truly funny video. Thank you!

  • @NCW250 Always welcome!

  • YouTube informs me that this video has been blocked in Germany. Is that because of the Hitler references? C'mon, guys, Italy, China and Soviet Union don't seem to mind.

  • @FlyingJunk germany is tired of being remembered as warmongering nazis. there is still a lack of national pride that most countries are frree to express. they insted focus on really nice cars, and the worlds greatest libation.

  • Outstanding video! Love every bit of it.

  • @CheefKritic Thanks a lot, mate!

  • when i was a kid, i used to think he was singing... i wanna be a bus. it was really hard to find THAT song anywhere. great video, for a great song.

  • I'm looking for this song since ages! I'm very happy to find it at least. The video is excellent, the music is wonderful.

    I love 10 cc

  • I can remember hearing this song back in the late 70's and thinking a little weird, but loving it none the less. When Godley and creme left 10cc, they took away that avant garde edge that 10cc had.

  • hahahahahaha, the little kid stalin segment was the best part

  • mistaa linnkk!!!!! :D

  • ssh, 10 cc are destroying my strategy to take over the airwaves and humbling me does not help my plans and ideas to come to fruition or my respondents (if any) to rally together & shake hands with each other and say hey yeah, then salute and I want salutations right now OK?

  • found out what 10cc means to them - these guys need to get out of the house more.

  • Roots of my raisin on this one. My family used to listen to this album all the time, along with quite a few other ultra rares. 10cc OI!

  • I need tab for this? can you help me?

  • this is OLD (im discovering old stuff)

  • This song manages to be creepy (because it's so surreal yet plausible) and at the same time very entertaining. The video frankly creeped me out a bit; if that was the intention, it really worked. If not, I still think it was brilliant.

  • brlliant... Elke forever

  • Very nice one. My kids love this one. Which band made more intelligent music then those 4 members of 10cc.

No other band could! They are the best.

  • Great Video! Where did you find the audio for it? I've been looking all over for a recording.

  • The song is from the How Dare You album - it is widely available on a CD.

  • classic video i love 10cc

  • wow, great video to a great song!

  • This is HUGE. 10cc was my teens. This is a brilliantly creative take on a great song.

  • This video is worthy of the song. That's about the highest praise I can give *g* Awesome job.

  • Marvellous.

  • Here's what Kevin Godley said about this video in his email to me last November:

I loved it. Lots of little things to find in there that you miss the first time around. Needs a little George W. don't you think?

Must've taken a while to plan and shoot.

    DAMN, GOOD WORK.

    Best.

    KG

Thank you, Kevin. I'm proud like shit. You guys are so amazing!

  • ex this vids pukka 100cc are great

  • great vid for a great song - excellent work, congrats

  • This video is sheer genius. It really puts the song into pictures. I also love the juxtaposition of scary footage of so-called World leaders with lego characters skipping up and down to "watcha gonna do you you gonna do it". This is better than Godley & Creme's own videos.

  • Great song, and great video!

I had this album (How Dare You) back in the day when I was just a pre-teen...my sister, Barbara, and I played it over and over again! (To this day, I still know every word to each song on the album.)

  • Yeah, How Dare You is an absolute classic! Lazy Ways, I'm Mandy, Iceberg, Don't Hang Up, and, of course, I Wanna Rule the World are immortal masterpieces one never tires of hearing. You've got a good taste in music. Cheers!

  • Noice

  • Great effort. I like the lip-syncing with Hitler & Mussolini.

  • great vid, great song, great band

  • Great song

  • Absolutely Great video !!! (for a great 10cc song !)

  • Oh nice (:

  • Bit by Bit? The PC Lieberal game plan.

  • perfect musical composition and ingenious clip

  • My newest favorite video. And 10cc music is great. Thanks.

  • Nice. Very nice.

  • haha, great!

  • matador its on the hoe dare you album brill!!

  • BRILLIANT!!!

  • Big 10cc fan and never heard of this song!

  • Nice Job and a great song. Happy Eric Stewart got to see it.

  • my favorite part was the Mussolini thing but the Stalin with the pitch in his voice just creeped me out.

  • haha nice video

  • I always like this song, and everything on HOW DARE YOU..."Iceberg" still sounds great.

Although 10cc still had some very good records after Godley & Creme split, and G & C did some excellent stuff after, those LPs together were about as good as it gets.

Kinda of weird, mixing Leggos men with Hitler & Stalin, eh?

  • was nice to see maximova and vasilyev in the clip. one of the best melodywise bands. anybody-why did they split, something to do with godley?

  • Absolutely brilliant. Like has been said before. The interpretation is excellent and the references are so clever. Thanks for the effort.

  • Thanks a lot, guys! It's so nice to have someone appreciate what you're doing. Eric Stewart saw the video and said he liked it, especially the Strawberry references. Lol Creme, on the other hand, said he hated the song and didn't remember writing it with Kevin and Graham. Go figure. There was no word from the other two.

  • Wow, this is such a great production! I like all the 10cc references, too, with the album cover, "Strawberry", etc .... just top notch stuff...can't wait to see more by you!
