IF YOURS STOPS WORKING... Rip off the sides, unscrew the four screws and replace the whole plug part with a sata Hd enclosure. Was only 5 bucks on ebay and it worked.

Water proof, bullet proof, shock proof blah blah.. the piece of shit USB cable stopped working. Don't buy it.

Honestly have no idea way people say Hitachi HDDs are bad. From my own experience (120gb-old laptop, 500gb 7200-new laptop, 500gb-portable drive) all Hitachi and not a single problem. the old drive which went through ALOT (more then 100000 files, constant read/write for 3 years) is still active as a portable drive.
