Hell is what we make and experience on earth. Hell is also the life-review after we leave here, when our cruel behavior to others is experienced by US.

Ever see the movie "Flatliners?" There's a little scene in an alley where a homeless lady says to Nelson: "In the end we all know what we've done." All scenes with Nelson = life review.

His theme is REPLACING Jesus with a humanist world view thus rejecting that we are all spiritual beings here created in “image of God" (having spirit/soul) for the purpose of fellowship with God. Our spirit/soul, has come from God, who created it & united it with our physical body, evidently at the moment of conception. The DNA molecules, are simply complex chemicals programmed to transmit only the physical attributes of ancestors to the children.

The purpose you speak of is not valid in view of the insights given by NDEs that say we're already part of God and that the purpose is spiritual growth and to learn to love. It can't be a universal purpose of man if it applies only to jewish/christian people. The god you believe in is selective and provincial and requires adherence or else he will reject you. That's a god with human qualities.

And in case you haven't noticed the obvious, i believe in dualism so i can't be called a humanist, you genius. @k0smon I think of 'hell' as a temporary state of absence of light and love, and the life review if one has caused a lot of harm to others. But then 'hell' wouldn't be the correct word.

@mikeysback70 :::Perhaps it is the 'gospel of Jesus Christ' that is the problem here. You read this in a book that bible scholar Bart Ehrman calls the word of man, not the word of God. Christianity is just a rehash of old religions and denies the Creator the power to run His own universe..

As for the Life Review: that can be hellish enough and more so. People who have little or no remorse for their actions on earth will definitely have it in the Life Review.

My adoptive mother was extremely abusive. She died of cancer when I was 22. At her deathbed, for the last 4-5 hours of her life, she was moaning, "uh-uh", over and over again like a litany. (Uh-uh like "no-no"). It was horrible. I have often wondered if she was seeing her life review and all the harm she had done. She was a damaged woman, and I hope she is at peace.

@Rescuebroke I feel bad that you had to go through such horrible things in your childhood - a fragile time when every child needs security, stability and love. That you can overcome all that is amazing to me. Most people don't get over a terrible past.

Rest assured, stepmother has experienced everything she has done to you - you can't move on in the afterlife without going through that life review.

I think that WE are God experiencing itself trought matter. We are not an error of the nature like scientifics like to say. We are no victims. We are CREATORS! And our reality is the reflect of our way of thinking and our perceptions. Everything is relative. There is no such thing as the truth! It does'nt matter if you're right or wrong. The only thing that is important is LOVE! Anything you do, do it with LOVE! Use love as a protection not fear. Stop juging yourself and love yourself!

@jeanpierrel That has made sense to me for a few years now because I looked so long for something outside myself and have NEVER found it.

I believe we go back to spirit with what we have learned, and pop the report in the box for all others to read, so to speak, benefiting development for all. In the life review it doesn`t seem to be a God that judges us, it is ourselves, again, it appears we are `running our own show`?

@latehare1 Yes you're right! We are running our own show. I see God as an energie, a matrix, a central computer. Everyone has is place in the universe, i see God as a big brother not as a big boss! I think that we are completly FREE. I had couple of OBE and what i've experience is feelings of LIBERTY, adventure, curiosity, LOVE and SERENITY. I think that we are PURE ENERGIE and that we have a double made of energie that leave when our physical body die.
