i sold my old beat up 93' mx3.. was a POS but a good car ya know? i just bought another 93' mx3 today, in awesome condition, body kits, fart can, subs, fold out deck, cold air intake etc, gonna put some rims on it next week then ill make a vid :) make it my lil ricer ! Lol

@hyspooo yep, automatic 1.6L mx-3 is Gay. Agreed. Now have an full original v6 1.8L MX-3 GS, 75'000 km 1992, plus my Pontiac G6 GT Coupe 2007 :) much better, they run about as fast

For my own taste you can skip the cheesy ass body kits and scissor style doors. The work you have done so far inside is pleasant but please don't go ricing out this beautiful little car.

KLZE swap? Great, but I don't think you can turbo like you can with the KLDE.

It's a shame, with the work you are willing to put in, that you don't have the manual five speed. Even with the stock 1.8 V6 it is a lot of fun to drive.

Things to consider are: Bodykit, Custom paintjob both in and out, Tail lights, Rims, Engine swap (check out wikipedia for info on this), Turbo, Exhaust, Lambo-style doors, etc. Endless possibilities, mine's given me great fun so far ;)

@DaHennep nahnnn i prefer stock but clean as hell look, and N/A engine, maybe i'll buy a megasquirt standalone management in 2 years, some porting, headers, 274 cams, interprep lifters and tuned so the fuel cut will be at 8000 rpm and the vris stays open until 8000 rpm instead of 6250 or 6500 rpm :). i just want something reliable but powerfull, so no boost, and perfectly tuned, the price doesn't matter. sorry for my english... i speak french :P

finally sold it,bought an K8-ZE manual MX-3 .. 0-100 kmh : 7.3 secs. not bad for an 1.8l !

Could you tell me how quick it was when it had the 1.6? My friend has a 92 with the 1.6 soch (88hp) and he swears up and down it will hit 150 (LOL!) and I know he is lying his ass off, ive read only the 1.8 v6 can hit 130 at the most.

well..with the 88hp SOCH automatic XD i've hit 160 kmh i've not tried more than that lol.. well with the v6 ( j-spec engine, not KL-ZE ) i've hit 180..not tried more cuz i don't want to stress the engine too much...but the last 0-100 kmh i did ( yesterday ) i made it in 6.2 seconds...it's almost better than a KL-DE :O

well that is not stupid because it was my first car..and it is not really sporty...it have an 88hp / 97 lb. tq. engine..wow ! if i swap the kl-ze any day i'll convert to manual.

thanks :) actually..she have no brakes..brake lines..drums and rear brake cylinder are dead..requires too mush money from me..i'm only 19..i paid this car..2000$ cdn..did 4000$ cdn of repairs in 1 year..and still eating my credit card..i can't take more :( all this caused by poor maintenance before i got it.. :(

i'm not puttin'n a KL-ZE in this one..i'll be selling it this spring and i'll buy an V6 model so i can upgrade to the KL-ZE and i work at a place where i can have stuff like KYB suspensions almost half the price :)
