Thats what everyone keeps saying, but look up and watch "Russian Olympic Hockey Video." Its a collection of stuff from last years Winter Olympic games. If you watch, almost all the goals are a result of incredible team play, not just one guy doing everything himself. Now go out and try to find team canada making some passing plays like those.

I agree that the 4 of them is in the top of such a list. There's also the KLM Line, they were pretty talented too. But the greatest Russian Hockey Player of all time must have been Valery Kharlamov. His skills and speed was astonishing at the time he was around. It's really a shame that the "old" Russians wasn't allowed to play in the NHL. Could've been fun to watch them play against and with players such as Henderson, Hull and the other great Canadians back in the days.

To address the claim that Russians are liars; from what I've read, one of the reasons why Russia's economy suffers is because the men who are in charge of industrial production lie about their output to meet with the requirements. Now, I'm not saying that all Russians are liars, in fact I think Russia and their people/hockey players are kick ass, but I'm pretty sure that what I just stated is accurate.

The best Russian youth stars (those that havent played pro in the Russian league) all graduated from the CHL...

Thats what everyone keeps saying, but look up and watch "Russian Olympic Hockey Video." Its a collection of stuff from last years Winter Olympic games. If you watch, almost all the goals are a result of incredible team play, not just one guy doing everything himself. Now go out and try to find team canada making some passing plays like those.

i gotta admit, i am Russian so im a bit biased, but still, some of those plays are simply sick and I dont know of many other teams that could pull them off. I have noticed in the NHL, many Russian players to close up a bit though and try to do too much on their own every once in a while. I think its because alot of European players have to dumb their game down a bit to deal with how physical the NHL is...

I agree that the 4 of them is in the top of such a list. There's also the KLM Line, they were pretty talented too. But the greatest Russian Hockey Player of all time must have been Valery Kharlamov. His skills and speed was astonishing at the time he was around. It's really a shame that the "old" Russians wasn't allowed to play in the NHL. Could've been fun to watch them play against and with players such as Henderson, Hull and the other great Canadians back in the days.
