Lets face it the game engine sucks big time. im also searching for a sulution to get rid of my lagg.

ive 8-core 4.0ghz / 24gib ram / nvidia 590 GTX 3gig. on gta iv 100fps but no stabile FFS everytime i give some gas or walk other direction i get a freez. AND ONLY WITH GTA IV. Battlefield 3 No problem can run it on sleep mode, crysis 2 also. GTA IV SUCCCCK COCK

As for CPU, it's not even close , Google .xbitlabs and i3 review ,there they will show you benchmarks, the i3 is very close at stock to Amd 965 and beats it with overclock ,benchmarks don't lie, AMD generally can't touch i5 and up (i7 6 core is coming on top of that)

that is NOT true, the human eye doesn´t work as a screen as you can´t really measure it in FPS.

In CS for example 30 is REALLY laggy, you will need AT least 50 fps for it to be playable.

In GTA4 30fps i pretty smooth, but I can see a pretty big difference between 30 and 40fps in GTA 4 too.

As for movies, I think you can see that the fps is low (25fps) especially when the camera moves a lot.
