I played the other mgs games when iwas young....i never played 3 though. But this game is the best game ever made by a landslide. I came into this with a sparse knowledge of the series and loved the game. What you feel by the end is unexplainable. If u have a ps3 GET THIS GAME!

Is anyone worried that there will be no big story series anymore.  The games I am seeing coming out don't come close to the amazing stories of these games from when I grew up. some of it is to play on online play. Too much resources are spent on the online multilayer and very little it spent on story.

@OutPunchedProduction okay look, metal gear solid 4 Old snake, war has changed for him since that mgs4 have id-controlled weapons and they never did have any id-controlled weapons in the past games, so yeah war has changed for him since he is much older and not too familiar with the id-controlled weapons like the newer generation of soldiers between both and all sides. For fallout you have to ask that somewhere else.

However, how war is fought does change, the Napoleonic wars, used Cavalry, Muskets, Cannons. Now there is Tanks, Planes, Missiles that can be launched from Submarines. So the reasons don't change but how humankind kills each other does.

All good things must come to an end, without an end, life becomes boring, if we let it end we give Kojima something new to make that might make us forget about this game. The only reason he made this one was so the series could die, he made Metal Gear Solid 3 out of deaththreats. Now, Metal Gear Rising is coming out and it looks like a pure run and gun, it's become so old they are just turning into battle instead of story.

When you played through each of the games and you see how the characters change and develop it kills you to watch all they go through. I remember when I first experienced this series. I played a demo of Metal Gear Solid when I was a little kid. I later on played and beat the same game, as well as for MGS2. After that, I played fansubbed versions of Metal Gear 1 and 2. Then, I played MGS3 and Portable Ops. Then, I played this game.

I just cried my eyes out for twenty minutes straight after watching this.

Im living a similar life like snakes only i didnt have to kill anyone or had me cloned, but i still played this game over and over and t the end when he looses his father everyone who sat next to me cryed while i stood still shedding no tears what so ever i don't know why but i think im very similar to snake exept im not 70 or 60+. i will never know why... just like snake Im no hero never was never will be...
