i hope he knows the if he fills a bucket with lava and puts it in the furnace then he would have a sorce of heat that lasts 20 times longer then coal

Lava buckets only work for 100 items, coal does for 8, so not twenty times. You also lose the bucket, so it isn't worth the iron.
