My complaint was that Ellen and Oprah's push toward Char getting her big break is usually recognized by many but the role that other asian talent shows played towards her career are casted aside. So I wanted other people to be more conscious of it.

Now before you go on and criticize other people's comments for something they didn't even do, learn how to read them right first.

@mikurej95. you know she discovered charice by watching another show right (korean show called star king which is more or less a show where they showcase hidden talents)...? as you can probably see from the clip in the beginning.. and even before that, she was part of a show called "little big star" in philippine. so ellen isn't the first, but she's definitely one of the big pushes that got charice into the american market.

@eternalxluvv, but what you dont realize or be willing to give anyone credit in the US for giving this amazing young lady the break she needed, is if she would of parrticipated in a million asian talent shows, she would not be where she is today. So wake up and give Ellen the credit she so richly deserves no matter where Ellen found her none of that matters, what matters is Ellen gave her the exposure she needed.

Yes guys she first started to guest in this show ELLEN but in fairness OPRA/DAVID dsnt discovered her on this show O/D discovered here on youtube same as Ellen. Only that Ellen invited her first but if you see or follow the whole story CHARICE was given more exposure on Oprah and even made a SEARCH OF MOST TALENTED KIDS IN THE WORLD!

It doesn't matter HOW she got discovered or WHERE. The truth of the matter is that SHE'S HERE, SHE'S A STAR, AND SHE'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE.....EXCEPT STRAIGHT TO THE TOP!
