that is so cool but isnt there like no air...? so they have to immediately move back down into the atmosphere but thats crazy cause you would think the plane would drift off into space with the tourist in it (lol).

The plane travels at about the same altitude as regular airliners. It simply moves in large "parabolas" or curves. The people experience near weightlessness because they are falling at the same rate as the plane, similar to how you would feel in a plummeting elevator.

They don't go into space it is just basically a dive steep enough where the rate of descent matches that of free fall. The only reason they go so high is so they can dive (or free fall) longer.

The vomit comet to me is a 1950s nimrod plane that wobbles at the exact frequency that upsets the human stomach. that + BBQ chicken = lots of trunk calls to huey on the big white phone!
