  • thats crazy just yesterday i made a song sampling this. and i personally think my instrumental is much more creative than the john cena and the 9thwonder/lloyd banks versions itll be up on youtube very soon

  • don't agree with those who said 9th did a great chopping work, imo he went in cheap mode, there are sooo many nice parts in this piece that could have made the beat so much better...

  • @FrenchHipHopHead haha u should check mine out i just put it up

  • Looking for something new. This isn't bad. :)

  • What a song, very lovely!!!!!!!

  • been looking for this since i heard "just another day" by john cena, then i herd lloyd banks "one night stand" but still couldnt find it! finally got it!!!

  • as good as 80s and 90s R&b was, im sorry to say, but this track is so incredible it makes music during those decades look rather average

  • Beautiful instrumentation.

  • This is wonderful. First time hearing Carolyn singing solo. Her voice kind of reminds me of Valerie Simpson. Interesting how she is very different from her sisters in her phrasing. True artist. Very gutsy choice to follow her own path and not be more like Aretha.

  • I have always liked Carolyn. I guess because of her great writing. Also, she used her voice in such a great way.

  • thnx izzy

  • I like this version, but I prefer Aretha's version of the song. Carolyn is a excellent writer.

  • sister soooul she was gorgeous! RIP

  • Great song! I didn't know Carol for a long time, but the time that I knew her she was nice and very incouraging to another songwriter like me. In the mid 70s while she lived around 3rd St. in L.A., I used to take her to record company meeting. At the time she was seeking another record deal......miss her.................

  • Are you serious? Did you truly befriend Carolyn Franklin in those very important 70's days? Very interesting

  • @bpeele10 thank you for sharing that.

  • Finally i found this shit

been looking for it for years

  • @Kyran14 crazy i see ur top comment here lmao

  • @oraku4ever lmaoo i know right. been hre for 2 years

  • @Kyran14 lol i been here way less time, and i can always catch u where the music is at

  • areta franklins sister?

    niceee

  • she has beautiful voice

  • thank you for this song. Carolyn Franklin also had a song titled "I miss you", circa 1969... do you have it?

  • correction, the song is "It's True I'm Gonna Miss You"

  • great song Lloyd banks sampled this song for his song one night stand

  • Yeah, 9th Wonder is a genius for finding this sample, and Carolyn Franklin is one for writing this wonderful piece of music.

  • what beat did 9th use it for?

  • one night stand instrumental..

    9th wonder

  • @J222333 what the name of the song he made from this

  • @dc4ever967 Lloyd Banks used her production track for a song called "One Night Stand" from him '06 album "Rotten Apple"

  • @J222333 Aretha Franklin has a version this is her sister btw it's hard to pick which version is better

  • @J222333 what song did he sample it for

  • @PS3xMedia Lloyd Banks "One Night Stand" for the "Rotten Apple project

  • First sampled on John Cena's "Just Another Day". Worked great for both songs.

  • Fuck That Garbage Man ..The real Shizness Is 9th Wonder !

  • Excellent version, but as usal Ree's tone is richer and her delivery more dramatic - even on the spoken intro!

  • Amazing song from the Queen's sister.

  • this is a wonderful song. truly amazing

  • I think it is so amazing that all the Franklin Sister could really sing. Usually there is one in the group but all of them had the gift.
