do you have to put water on the sand paper? I have a doctua d14 and amd 965 if i lap both will i get better temps?

@Daren2007 Yes ! I put water on the sand paper becose this way is much more rapid!

Yes you get at list 4-5 °C down! You will see much differece in load.

nu ai scris cu cat au scazut temperaturile.

@digitalcocaine88 --Nu am scris, ai dreptate! Temperaturile au scazut in jur de 5-6°C ,dar tine cont ca acum tin procesorul la 4 Ghz intr-o configuratie 24/7.

temperaturile mele acum sunt:37-35-25-36 insdicate de Core Temp si RealTemp si 25,7°C indicata de sonda de temperatura aplicata la baza disipatorului. In prime dupa 3 ore a ajuns la maximum 58°C core 0 si 3 ,core 2 -55°C,iar core 1-57°c.Maximum la care am ajuns a fost 62°c o data dupa 6-7 ore de IntelBurnTest .

Am folosit aceasi procedura dar pe uscat pe procesor (AMD 965 BE) tot la 4 ghz 24/7 cu 1.536v. Am lasat nh-d14 non lapped. Temperaturile sunt 56c dupa 16 ore prime95. Ce pasta folosesti si cum o aplici? Apropo coolerul asta devine si mai bun cu alte ventilatoare mai puternice. Am ancercat scythe slipstream 1900rpm 110cfm care de si nu sunt foarte bune au scazut temperaturile cu 2.5 grade celsius. Dar sunt satisfacut cu 4 ghz 24/7 nu are rost sa ampingi mai mult in parerea mea.

am folosit arctic silver 5 si am aplicat-o cu degetul invelit intr-o punga subtire de plastic.

am aplicat un strat foarte subtire si am sters surplusul; intinzi cu degetul de la stanga la dreapta iar apoi de sus in jos.

oricum dc il lapp-ezi i-ti coboara sigur in temperatura cu 5-6 grade ,nu ai ce sa pierzi
