  • Wonderful film, and pleasantly lyrical. Sharing a similar story, though, I am a sort of combination of you both it seems, I am very happy that the two of you have found one another, and the reverent astonishment before the insistent wonder of life. Perhaps, because I've glimpsed the absurdity of success in comparison to joy, or even suffering, with its tragic beauty, that in hindsight, I'm heartened that the wings melted away. Joey is a fortunate man and his best years appear to lie ahead.

  • WOW Laura I have known Joey for years and knew well of his brush with stardom & as a musician myself, I have the utmost respect for him as a Person & Artist, He has always been very kind to me & has treated me with the respect of an equal, even though my story is similar, I never shot as high toward stardom as he. A year older than Joey I too have spent years on the road & also have a daughter, almost your age. But I have been truly touched by the 2 films you have done, You both are wonderful

  • This was so good! I had the same problem as a teen with being put on meds and my parents not knowing what to do with me. I was freakishly talented in the arts and also had the severe depression and sensitivity that comes with being a tormented artist. Went through the same thing of learning that the meds they had me on have been proven to screw up your whole puberty all together. So horrible. I really do know what that's like. So brave of you to talk about that.
