It pisses me of that suede have kind of been written out of 90's music history. This song, and this performance, is perfection. One of my favourite songs ever and i still listen to it all the time. That's why i think they are the best of british bands from that time - their music is timeless. I couldn't listen to parklife or definitely maybe now as they are so off their time, but Dog Man Star sounds as good, if not better, than it did in 1994.

@PedroLizzy Uouf! I would not say it is the best britpot band at all. I prefer very much Elastica (although they had a short life). Suede has great songs though.

This was the first song i ever heard from Suede back in the early 90'ies. Fell in love on the spot.

Saw every concert they ever played in danish venues. Remember the Concert on Roskilde Festival in 99 where they played 3 concerts in 4 days, even a B-side concert..... Brilliant.... Forever in my memory and heart. Love SUEDE.

The guitar sound is amazing, I mean the choice of a Fender Stratocaster, I don't know what guitar was used on the record. But: the chorus sounds quite weird, like Richard doesn't know the right chords.

Richard is good. but he can't hold a candle to Bernard Butler's ability to orchestrate guitar, his tone, and his sense of composition. I've been playing and writing a long time and i know I wouldn't have wanted to step into his shoes!
