Oh my word, thank you for posting this. What an absolute delight.I have seen Ms Davis interviewed before on UK tv & she was far less funny. So it's a real treat to see her in full flow here. And,isn't it amazing to see guests and the interviewer smoking on tv,haha! Now,you can barely smoke outside! All the stars here were a real joy to watch. But Davis was the real treat!
You don't find women like that anymore!!! Oh what a lovely mix of precious gems we HAD...Mind you I say HAD...I love them all and I always will. These are the women that inspire me and I'm sure I speak for many others who agree. Beauty, Brains, and yes Balls!!! and I agree with these comments on here, Bette should have done more comedy, people have such a DRAMATIC view of her but as you can see, she was hilarious!!! =D
whene I was12 I screen tested with BETTE DAVIS for a film called BURNT OFFERINGS and the director or prouducer Dan Curtis wasnt very Kind and Miss Davis went out of her way to help me all she could..this was a Horror film and I knew from people she was a LEGEND! I lost the role..but have fond memories of acting in the test with her...I wish I could locate the footage now..I am 47!!!
I wish Judy had been on the Tonight Show more. This was a great to find Judy Garland's "Tonight Show" clips on here since it's said that the "Tonight Show"from the 1960's were no longer around. They were called the "Lost shows" They taped over the shows that were done on very expensive video tape so they could reuse them & lost some of the best of Carson. You'd think they'd had enough money to buy new tape. Thank God they saved Judy's. Is Judy's last time on Carson 12/68 around with her talking?
Oh God these were hilarious! Especially Katharine and Bette! I love those two :) The queens of their time! I love when Bette screams "No! I didn't mean that!" and when she breaks into laughter. Same for Katharine after she says the thing about finding herself fascinting and then laughs hysterically. And also when she says "Is that hhow you said it?" Oh God they had such good humor...
Judy Garland the legend!!!! very funny!!!!
