Maybe not scared, but you have to admit that the first two albums are unsettling to listen to. Earlier I listened to Faget for the first time in a number of years and it began to make me feel uneasy. The dark lyrics, the melodies and riffs, the subject matter... all combined is rough stuff - it takes you to another place that's powerful. Man, if a song like that doesn't affect you in that way you must be emotionally numb.
Faget, hmm, thats pretty low on the level Korn can go for emotional unease. Daddy, Kill You, now they are freaky songs, every time I listen to them I feel uneasy. They're one of the few bands who can take you, as you said, to another place. Maybe Slipknot can do that with a few of their songs, like Virus of Life or Skin Ticket, but man nobody can beat Korn.
