HaHa, I remember being stuck in the part in where you have to destroy the Flak 88s for 4 hours, and I died like 60 times, and after I beated this mission on veteran, I fell to my knees
For this part you have to clear a few, run forward so your squad can advance then run back behind the tank/further back and help your squad pick some off before moving towards the AA gun on your left and taking out that one first. I say the left one first because if you do otherwise you won't get help from your squad on the right gun and since it's in an open area it can be hard.

@raggsvettma here's how you practice without raging as much for MHC: remember the CQB training course with the wood ship replica? if you can get the achievement for that by completing it in under 20 seconds, then you're good to go. if not, just keep trying until you do. its less rage enducing. ;) also, i beat heart of the reich! and snapped my waw. life is good.
@raggsvettma same. people say its the hardest, but from what i've seen, waw is definitely harder. i dont know. i'm hesitant to buy another call of duty game for a while. probably not going to get mw3. i prefer halo's legendary. far easier.
WaW is way harder. The thing that makes MHC is the time limit. In WaW it's everything else :P
MW3 is probably the easiest of them all on veteran, i barely died at all. They made Vetern casual. One can say what they want about CoD. But i think the games are amazing on vetern because of the challange. Did you do the legendary alone on reach? That was fucking brutal at times, but never even once got to WaW's leauge.

MHC would be so much easier if you didn't have to run past everything. i only died 1/930945 times by the time running out lol. yeah, i did do all halos on legendary solo. most brutal? halo 2. hands down. there are so many snipers that kill you in one shot. mw2 was also very easy on veteran. the timer on contingency was really the only hard part in the game. thanks for the mw3 advice!

Yeah, contngency was bitchy cus the timelimit. Safehouse fucked me alot cause of totaly randomly spaced checkpoints. And the Favela was kinda like WaW junior without the nades.

@raggsvettma Hmm CoD3.. make sure you buy another controller just incase. I found it a lot harder than WaW, due mainly to the even worse AI on your side, glitches and the awful checkpoints.
@raggsvettma Lol, good choice I guess. The checkpoints in that game are really, really bad. In one mission you have to defend a factory and block off 3 entrances without getting a single checkpoint and your allies won't lift a finger to help, just bark out orders to you.
@raggsvettma YEAH! nice! and now...the first part of downfall.... :/ only the first part of that level is rage enducing. after that, its not that hard. also! protip! in the first clusterfuck room, GO LEFT and stay behind the pillar (next to the desk, not the one that is alone) and if you go prone, you are invincible to grenades :D the hard part is getting to that spot 15 feet through 4 MGs, 35 enemies, and 99999999999999999999999999 grenades. i wish you the best of luck!
@Droopah1 You mean the last room? Nowhere near as hard as the first, only died once I think. I stuck my head out for like 2-3 seconds and the MG guy killed me from the other side of the map. I don't think my allies killed a single enemy in that room.
beat this on veteran.... also did it for my mate as well.... the great thing about having this achievement is seeing that most yr mates dont! subsequent cod games veteran mode hasnt been a challenge.... mind u i never beat the mile high achevement in cod 4 :-(
this is veteran, when i was playing in xbox 360, was the same thing, even with grenades, the diference is the mouse, he can aim much faster then in the joystick, @attila16 you are very good player, keep like that
And for the record this video could NEVER have Been on Veteran mode, no were NEAR the required amount of grenades the AI spams and your dead almost instantly for being out in the open for more than TWO seconds from Aim Bot enemies, (and that's being generous). I know this cause i played this game on Veteran from beginning to end in one day and was foaming at the moth at the amount of times i died and broke the right analog stick for imagining the control as the game developer's NECK!!
@FantomOmega I had pointed that out in one of his previous videos. Unless there's a big difference between the console version and the PC one he's not playing on veteran. I played this on the PS3 and I couldn't stand in one spot without having the enemy throw multiple grenades at me. It was really annoying. I think he's playing on medium, either that or the pc version is way easier.

@berserker276 Yeah especialy in the fighting in berlin centre. The were many things historicaly inacurate for example 150th ID's aproach towards the reichstag which is the biggest one I guess or hoisting flag on roof top of reichstag

@TemplarKnight5 No, there is even harder missions in the CoD series than this. CoD Classic is even harder on veteran, as you have health packs and they're supposed to last you the entire mission. If you have less than 50% health, you don't get all the checkpoints.

@chrisalv14 i beat Veteran mode today. :] my most effective tactic was to rush forward while quickly killing everyone, then taking cover (not too long, otherwise the enemies spam grenades) so that my comrades could follow me (---> area secured). sometimes i even rushed and ran back just to trigger the backup. XD but you'll be so happy when you make it! i didn't even use the panzerschreck because it doesn't do any damage if you use it from a certain angle! i planted the explosives! good luck ;P
run, get shot, take cover. grenade! throw back. another one! throw back again. 5 grenades! run away, out of cover. get shot again or get killed by grenade. repeat 200 times.
treyarch are the worst developers as far as AI is concerned.
it doesnt even end there. why the hell would a nade kill me when its on the other side of the tank? and if im taking cover behind a tank, who throws a nade which lands right at my feet?
the AI doesnt even throw the nades, they just appear.

The enemies soldiers doesn't throws grenades, the grenades simply appears from nothing and usually 3, 4, 5 grenades or more than it.

You lied, You never played World At War on Veteran mode, because I have tried for many times destroy the second Flak88 using the Rocket Launcher for a long time and I never got. I did spend 5 hours to hit Flak88, but it's impossible. The only way to destroy a Flak88 on Veteran Mode is to activate through the key "F" on PC or press "Square" on PS3.
Don't lie to us any more.
Finally, after 5 hours to trying the second Flak88, I got, but I came so close to the Flak88 and I did push Square.
The way you're playing this level especially when you get in the Reichstag courtyard...YOU SHOULD HAVE DIED! 6 grenades SHOULD have appeared when you hid behind cover. You should have TORN TO PIECES when you stood up with the Panzerschrek! You should have DIED planting the explosives on the Flak88! Why isn't this happening to you?
@sickleandsuckle I honestly didn't find any of this mission as bad as the first room in 'Downfall'. Took me like 40 minutes just to get out of that damn room. It pissed me off so much.
Honestly, I found the plaza in Heart of the Reich a little harder because there was much less cover. Downfall is incredibly annoying as well, what I did is simply kill enemies until they stopped respawning, and then moved on. The PTRS you find came in handy well into the later parts of the mission.
@littlejj Go for the 88 on the left first then the right. Use the panzershrek behind the destroyed tank and by the stairs to take out the 88's if you can.
@miamibeach004 You can destroy the 88's with a panzershrek but you have to be really careful because it can sometimes miss, especially if they're is still some Germans by it.

@miamibeach004 Done this mission as well, it was piss easy compared to 'Downfall' I'm stuck at the beginning lol. Honestly in this mission I used a different tactic and didn't get as many grenades thrown at me. I went for the 88 on the left, then the other one since nobody's ever at the other one and it was 10x easier. Took me only like an hour altogether. Still died a lot though lol
@berserker276 Haha yea so difficult, and some advice for downfall, at the beginning dont stay right in the entrance, they will literally not stop spawning, make your way to the right, crawl while prone, and then kill the guys there, and you can get behind the guys with the mgs. Hope this helps xD

Played every mission on Veteran "ok is not so bad"
Get to the part of the level and all i see is grenades, the freaking soldiers are not even using their guns. After playing the same checkpoint for 3 hours i was pissed off and since i buy my own crap, i was not going to brake my controller. After playing the level for 7 hours i got tired and the anger just when away, but one thing is for sure the platinum is not worth my time. Maybe someday in the future i give it a try again.

@chrisalv14 i beat Veteran mode today. :] my most effective tactic was to rush forward while quickly killing everyone, then taking cover (not too long, otherwise the enemies spam grenades) so that my comrades could follow me (---> area secured). sometimes i even rushed and ran back just to trigger the backup. XD but you'll be so happy when you make it! i didn't even use the panzerschreck because it doesn't do any damage if you use it from a certain angle! i planted the explosives! good luck ;P

how i play this level on veteran:
run, get shot, take cover. grenade! throw back. another one! throw back again. 5 grenades! run away, out of cover. get shot again or get killed by grenade. repeat 200 times.

treyarch are the worst developers as far as AI is concerned.
it doesnt even end there. why the hell would a nade kill me when its on the other side of the tank? and if im taking cover behind a tank, who throws a nade which lands right at my feet?
the AI doesnt even throw the nades, they just appear.
In the video i dont know how he survives so many bullets but if i get shot once i get red screen and second time im dead.

The enemies soldiers doesn't throws grenades, the grenades simply appears from nothing and usually 3, 4, 5 grenades or more than it.
There are millions of soldiers, I spend all the time of my life just to kill them, but as long I kill the soldiers, appears others millions and millions of soldiers and never to comes the end. The enemies soldiers has infinity lives on this game World At War.

You lied, You never played World At War on Veteran mode, because I have tried for many times destroy the second Flak88 using the Rocket Launcher for a long time and I never got. I did spend 5 hours to hit Flak88, but it's impossible. The only way to destroy a Flak88 on Veteran Mode is to activate through the key "F" on PC or press "Square" on PS3.
Don't lie to us any more.
Finally, after 5 hours to trying the second Flak88, I got, but I came so close to the Flak88 and I did push Square.

The way you're playing this level especially when you get in the Reichstag courtyard...YOU SHOULD HAVE DIED! 6 grenades SHOULD have appeared when you hid behind cover. You should have TORN TO PIECES when you stood up with the Panzerschrek! You should have DIED planting the explosives on the Flak88! Why isn't this happening to you?

@sickleandsuckle I honestly didn't find any of this mission as bad as the first room in 'Downfall'. Took me like 40 minutes just to get out of that damn room. It pissed me off so much.

Honestly, I found the plaza in Heart of the Reich a little harder because there was much less cover. Downfall is incredibly annoying as well, what I did is simply kill enemies until they stopped respawning, and then moved on. The PTRS you find came in handy well into the later parts of the mission.

@miamibeach004 Done this mission as well, it was piss easy compared to 'Downfall' I'm stuck at the beginning lol. Honestly in this mission I used a different tactic and didn't get as many grenades thrown at me. I went for the 88 on the left, then the other one since nobody's ever at the other one and it was 10x easier. Took me only like an hour altogether. Still died a lot though lol

@berserker276 Haha yea so difficult, and some advice for downfall, at the beginning dont stay right in the entrance, they will literally not stop spawning, make your way to the right, crawl while prone, and then kill the guys there, and you can get behind the guys with the mgs. Hope this helps xD

I've died like 30 times literally and I don't usually die that much, even on Veteran. Treyarch why the fuck did you have to make it so damn ridiculous? No wonder everyone hates them

Played every mission on Veteran "ok is not so bad"
Get to the part of the level and all i see is grenades, the freaking soldiers are not even using their guns. After playing the same checkpoint for 3 hours i was pissed off and since i buy my own crap, i was not going to brake my controller. After playing the level for 7 hours i got tired and the anger just when away, but one thing is for sure the platinum is not worth my time. Maybe someday in the future i give it a try again.
