@waltography He is a really nice guy. You know you can tell a really confident photographer when he or she is completely comfortable telling you how they work and what makes them successful. Joel is one of those great photographers that can teach his technique without holding back.
If you can ever attend one of his workshops I would recommend it.
Very informative video, I love the close up shots they really pop out.Great editing by the way. Two 1000w lights running, did it get warm in there lol. Well i guess the 7D behaved and didn't over heat. Just wondering what Audio setup you used, onboard microphones or Shotgun(Nt2) mic plugged in or old school field recorder and sync'd up in post. I use Rode shotgun,Zoom H2/R16 and when im lazy onboard lol.
@adey7569 Hi Adey, I did do second sound. I had a Rode VideoMic on a boom postioned just above them and turn in to them. It work pretty well I think. We did it first thing in the morning before a lot of people show up at the imill we're in otherwise the ambient noise would have been a problem.
Both cameras worked very well with the extra light from the two 1000 watters. The close-ups were with the GH1. I do love that little camera.
