Back before the Spice Girls, I heard Beesley was starting to learn vibraphone, so it might have been "vibes for real"
Thankfully, Omar never gave up on music, and remembered what Max really does best too. Great track, I'd love to hear the rest of the set...thanks for the post Roxy
Real music, real talent. America USED to produce stuff like this (And the underground scene still does-Fertile Ground, Bilal, Eric Roberson, N'dambi, and others.) but the corporations don't respect this kind of thing. If it does'nt look good on a video, or does'nt come with a great deal of "drama",(Which attracts attention.)it's not worth their time. Really parallels America's fall from grace. We can get it back though. Just gotta start appreciating substance and meaning again.
I totally agree with you....the American Major Labels have forced R&B / Neo-Soul/ Smooth Jazz underground again.......that's why radio in the States is so Horrible now....
Omar is a chameleon. The man keeps changing his musical skin. He ain't no fashion plate. His pierceings and tatoos can intimidate those unfamiliar with the man. But when he opens his mouth, well I'll let his voice speak for itself. He refuses to compromise his persona for his music. He sings from his heart.

I have'nt listened to the radio in years. If there's not a cd in the player in my car, or itunes on my computer, nothing is playing.
