It is because of King Bhumibol Adulyadej why most Thai people never emmigrate to other countries. I am from Canada and out of all the Asian immigrants I have met, only 5 Asian immigrants I met in Canada were Thai. When I started taking trips to Thailand I learned the reason why Thai immigrants are extremly rare in Canada. I love Thailand and I love the king of Thailand for being such a humble man. I don't worship him but I love King Rama IX as much as I love God.

I really love the King of Thailand. Eventhough i'm not Thai, but i stay here for a few years, and learned about him. I truely understand why 99.9% of Thai people love him. He devoted much of his life for his kingdom and people. He never leaves his country after he returned from the visit other countries when he start reigning. I wish that China would have a king too. too bad that we dont have now.

And rightly so. He deserves alot of the credit for Thailand not being dragged down the same path as the rest of Indochina. He is also a fine example of how constitutional monarchy *should* work with a monarch who intervenes in times of crisis to safeguard the country.

i don't think so. most of thai people think that thailand wouldn't worth living without the king. and, to me, IT HAS TO BE THIS KING. a knid of people liked you is only a few. i don't really understand why people raised in thailand have this kind of perception???

The King is one of the most popular monarchs in the world and possibly the only person in the government for all of these years who cares more about his people than political power. He has literally saved his country on more than one occasion.
