@hulkmeister23 But kids the age of the young boys are used to listen to their parents. In a child's view, mother knows everything, and therefore you should listen to mom. A child starts to develop their own will quite early,but most don't oppose their parents until puberty. It is an instinct ingrained in us from ages past. They are at home, their safe place, and the sheer reality of their mom suddenly coming in to shoot them? Shock.

@water14789 I'm sorry, but I just don't see it. You don't have to be a certain age to know when you're in danger and another instinct, the fight or flight instinct, kicks in. After the first kid was killed, then it should have dawned on the others to get the FUCK OUT AND FIND HELP!!

@hulkmeister23 And what would have happended later? Sure, she would be arrested and put away, but these kids didn't know that. As I understand it, She was violent when angry. The kids probably had experience that if they did run away, it would only get worse later. Here I'm assuming that the dramatisation is as accurate as possible. Walls muffle sound, perhaps not much, but add that up to the game they were playing? They probably didn't notice something was off until it was too late.
