My professor told the story of a man who was injured in a war, and read "War and Peace" while he was recovering. It was only after he had finished the novel that he truly understood what had happened to him. Similarly, though this is speculation, it seems that Tillman needed Chomsky to help make sense of his feelings of betrayal and resentment.
The Bush Administration simply could not allow someone of great integrity, a real hero, such as Tillman, to speak the truth of the illegality and corruption of the Iraq War. So they offed him--- just as they killed anyone who got in their way. All those plane crashes beginning with John Kennedy Junior and his girlfriend. I apparently got the type of weapon wrong, but it's been a long time since I have read about this so those details have slipped my mind. I am aware they use the same round.
Dr. Chomsky recently told Iranian TV that when the US invaded Afghanistan they provided no evidence that al Qaeda had done 9/11--"because they didn't have any".
See my video "Chomsky on Faith-based Wars and 9/11"
The real problem is I suspect there are very few Americans left who place any trust in US politicians. Even those who no longer read and rely on the mainstream media drivel are starting to smell the stink of corruption.
Did Cheney/Bush give the order to murder Tillman? I have no idea, but I find it plausible and certainly consider them capable of such a heinous act. I think it reasonable for Tillmans family to request a "waterboard" inquiry of those two war criminals though.
No Army Ranger is going to kill his brother Ranger because that Ranger may be doubting the nation's missing. To suggest so is insane. The Army covered it up because it would have been a high-profile embarrassment which, if spun that Pat was a hero, would provide much needed PR for the war. Anyone thinking his Ranger buddies intentionally murdered Pat is a fool.
@yellowlabhooper I would like to say that I would find it rare or unlikely that his fellow rangers would kill him. This does not mean you can say that it is impossible because it is not. While it is far more likely that either it was an accident or a non ranger military person killed him it is still of course possible that one of his own buddies did it. No offense to you but making such a statement detracts from your overall intent. I reply simply to help you express yourself better thank you
@antiphony33 Thanks for your thoughtful reply to my post. I never said it was impossible. By contrast I agree, is possible he was intentionally killed, just not likely imho. I do not believe that a US Ranger is going to kill another US Ranger because that Ranger thinks the US mission is FUBAR. Remember, the 75th Ranger Regiment is the most elite Army Infantry unit, it is supposed to be the best of the best, a friendly fire of the most high profile Ranger would be beyond embarrasing for the Army.
@yellowlabhooper Your narrow minded, pseudo 'patriotic' theory is so naive it's laughable. Take a look at the combat head bullet wound statistics. How many are shot once in the head? How many are shot TWICE in the head? How many are shot THREE TIMES in the head? When you've done that, ask: Who shoots someone in the head, and why?
Chomsky is a gatekeeper for wannabe intellectuals, craftily keeping people's minds away from truly effectual dissent on the most critical issues. In his dry-reading books, he will expose a multitude of international crime and conspiracy by the US Empire and then he will deny any possibility of government involvelment in 9/11, when all evidence points to a conspiracy. Tillman's mistake was to naively confide in this MIT operative.
I think he was saying that he didn't want to put words into Tillman's mouth. Presumably, he only had a general impression and didn't want to declare with certainty Pat Tillman's thoughts without having actually heard them.
@PowerOfNight88 like Noam has said before "who cares if they were murdered by the government, people get killed all the time".. That Noam, he is such a champion of the people.
@RMCrowley Have you read Manufacturing Consent? It's about how propaganda is used to lend weight to principles that are fallacious. It also includes quoting passages out of context too...
@MyMelancholyDodo Yea you can go see the video.. He was asked about 9/11 and what he thought about an inside job.. after he said who cares he went on to say it was like the people who pour massive amounts of energy into the JFK thing. WHo cares he said again.
For your information, 'The Pat Tillman Story' 2010 movie is reviewed here watch?v=ZoZCGiBuvKA . The documentary film is due to be released in August 2010.
The most amazing part of this incident is that most Americans are not even aware of this story. The facts - not even any speculation - are damning. Then you draw the only conclusions possible and it gets worse.
There was a video on Youtube showing a cop in a room with a drunk woman. He turns the camera off. When the camera goes back on the woman is on the floor covered in blood. It is not too hard to figure out what happened. The cop said she fell and it became he said she said...
Hello Mrs. Tillman. I have a GREAT deal of respect and admiration for how you and your family courageously and tenaciously pursue JUSTICE in your son’s case. If I may have the liberty to present some “INSIDER” information to you, and humbly pray that you give my advice some thought in helping you to pursue your case.
They are scumbags for sure but they have our support, don't they? This is what sickens me about what's happening out in Afghanistan. The assholes that pulled the trigger will be hailed as heroes when they get back home. You couldn't make this shit up if you tried.
@bewaver Youre some irish fuck, youre not an American. What makes you think you have any voice in this matter of American issues? Nothing, you have *no* voice in the matter. Your nation doesnt have anything remotely resembling freedom of speech. You wouldnt speak out against your own troops. But here you are talking shit about American troops and *surprise* like the filthy fucking nazi sypmathiser dragging Jewish people in to it.
@ThunderAppeal I am only answering because it's funny to see you getting pissed off. Not that I hope to have any constructive talk with you, as from your trailer there is little of the world you will ever see or learn. Only some genetic dead-end could take pride in an army that is basically a training ground for private militias paid to go an kill innocent civilians. See the day they come across real fighters, ho yes Afganistan, they are getting trashed, ans it's all deserved. Kiss my butt moron
@ThunderAppeal And on the "Irish fuck" remark, if you knew a bit of your own history you would know that many Americans are of Irish origin and so was JFK , he could have saved the US instead sheeples like you let him go down without a fight.
If you knew a bit about history in general you would know that Ireland has always fought imperialism alone, and we have been successful, to a certain extent.
But how would you know about history I bet you don't have room for books in your trailer.
@Badwolf182 Yep, we can smell the trap, but we are alone, as usual. People are only good for criticising, when it comes to put up a fight everybody else is watching Xfactor, and Big f* Brother...
Not that I recommend any bombing, this is old school. But we could play a bit of Market Aikido, but no everybody is too hooked on their junk food , and their little cheap comfort. It's like they get one hour in the yard of the prison and believe they are free, well we are not, we are in prison!
@bewaver@bewaver I have always loved the Irish! SOmething abt 'em...maybe their accent but seriously UR irght ppl r so far gone. I have tried on many occassions (whenever poss) to inform them of wats going on....99% dont care. Whther that's bcoz of t=all the chemicals or 'prgramming' via tv...or simple apathy - i dont know but I doubt we will overthrow NWO anytime soon.
Notice how all this talk of 'by accident' has managed to divert the subject away from 'Pat Tillman, the consummate patriot, saw first hand how the war was WRONG and wanted to tell this to the world with the help of Noam Chomsky so he was shot in the head 3 times from close range by US troops?' Wake up people, don't be so easily manipulated.
@Badwolf182 If you have not watched it yet take a look at the documentary called 'manufacturing consent' based on Chomsky's book of the same name. In my opinion it' should be watched by all conscious people as smelling salt to help them wake the others.
@rarosera Yeah Thnx I have watchd that in full on google videos. Theres also the century of the self - 4 parts approx 1 hr long each - incredible stuff! along the smae lines
@rarosera an I would add "The Corporation" where they make the case of the corporation being a psychopathic legal entity extremely rich and immortal, and if we do nothing against it it will kill us all. And I am not talking about bombing anything, just finding new economical ways of getting the job done. Ask me about Market Aikido...
@bewaver Thanks. I have found 'the corporation' and is now in my 'to watch' list along with the rest of the century of the self series. I've been following the Venus Project for the past 2 years and am doing some work to that end but tell me about market aikido.
Oh please cut it with your bull shit. No such thing happened. This was total accident. The world don't need idiots like yourself with these lame conspiracy theories.
@Fishtowner666 I was pointing out facts; shot 3 times in the head, point blank, by fellow US troops, shortly after stating disagreement with the war. Call that a conspiracy theory if you like, but it happens to be the truth. What are you doing? Giving an opinion, a fanatical, entrenched, delusional one at that. You ought to be ashamed of yourself for being so deluded and easily led and for metaphorically spitting on Tillman's memory, scumbag.
@rarosera accident? 3 fkin bullets in the head from close range? seriusly dont you guys have scopes on your army? of course you have...you can clearly distinguish a massle western man in uniform from a poor surely not massle taleban...and i can even understand that was an accident if he just got 1 bullet..but 3,,, all in the head,
@rarosera i suppose you dont get how the people which is really manipulated is the war supporters.
i wonder how you can think to defend your country when iraq and afghanistan are clearly not near the american borders. oh wait... i forgot that a couple of poor talebans that they never saw a cell phone on their life, with a couple of hours of flight simulator, attacked the twin towers. sorry.
I think his compatriot or compatriots shot him out of an inferiority complex. Tillman looks like a born leader, and a good soldier. Better than them, or at least that would have played upon their minds. Out of jealousy they accidentally shot him.
You can kill someone largely unintentionally though, and you can kill someone totally intentionally. When Dick Cheney shot his "friend", he may not have liked him for some reason (whether or not he was aware of that) so that part of him reacted and shot on his behalf almost. So that's almost an accidental shooting, as opposed to say the Mendendez brother who lay in wait to shoot their parents in 1989, where it was definitely deliberate. Accidental here means unintended and spur-of-the-moment.
@avidalocan Why would we assume that they shot him out of jealousy though? If they accidentally killed him, then that implies that there were no motives behind the killing - It was just a freak accident. We can't really prove that their subconscious kicked in and made them blow his brains out at close range, so it's sort of a moot point anyway.
I don't think anyone does anything by accident, or at least not things like shooting someone. But I don't think it was planned. So I'm looking for a middle ground, but not using language that would in any way stand up in a court of law. This is a "repressed desires/anxieties" type answer for what happened, and only speculative. Some of it is based on my own experience as an Army Reserve Private.
@bewaver - Everyone knows there are forces that drive human beings that are largely unconscious. In the law this is known as diminished responsibility or involuntary manslaughter. When people harm or kill someone and it was not conscious and thought out, that could be a largely accidental act (beyond their control) driven by feelings that the killers have not dealt with in their consciousness (jealousy, anger, envy). People are shot all the time, but in almost all case something drove it.
I agree with you, it's called a mobile, and the degree reaches murder without premeditation, but it's still murder, Shooting is not manslaughter.
I don't think there is any right justification for shooting or hurting someone because you think you have a good reason. that's what hollywood is trying to show, and it's wrong both for the body and the soul. You kill somebody, you kill part of your humanity at the same time, revenge doesn't bring peace, only more anger, and retaliation.
Also, the focus is one male perpetrated killing, a rare event. Far greater is female to male aggression, where women turn men into the living dead by ruining their reputation through lies and manipulations. The reason they show men killing with a reason in Hollywood is because it equates them with women who do that all the time metaphorically. It defuses the morality and nobleness a man in relation to women who have neither and never will. It's just Jewish propaganda at its finest.
I don;t know about Jewish per se, but it's true that there is a fundamental detachment between what you get to see on Tv, and what the fundamental values of any decent society should be. It's a bit as if they wanted to educate you by showing the bad example, however, little by little, the concept of revenge comes very strong in any given movie. Roughly 95% of the shows/movies that are aired have dead people in it. What would be considered "gore" in the '80 is now mainstream, like CSI. Scary..
And the reason this standard of morality in film and elsewhere has deteriorated over the last decade or so? - Jewish values infiltrating the societies they flourish in. Otherwise, this kind of media would not be so often produced, as people would not value it (both its creators and its audience). The correlation is strong. As the culture of the West has become subsumed by Jewish values of demasculinisation, these depraved artforms can both proliferate and make great strides.
Ok, I don't want to specifically point fingers a Jews, as generalising is the mother of all f* ups.
If you want to be very technical, Christians are the real Jews, the one you refer to as "Jews" are only a left over sub-cast of Judaism that refuted the teaching of Rabbi Jesus to dwell into their dogmatic teaching, disregarding the message through technicalities and closing themselves into solipsism.
As for manipulators it's a cover up for smth else.
@avidalocan Oh, here we are an australian fuck. Your fucking nation doesnt have anything resembling freedom of speech. But here you are an austrialian backwater dipshit taking shit about Jewish people thinking 'hollywood represents Jewish values' Go put another 'shrimp on the fucking barbie' crocodile dundee.
It's pretty safe to say he wasn't killed by the Army on purpose. Don't be ridiculous. It was a huge public relations debacle for them. Of course they tried to make it look like a hero's death. What else could they do? Admit that he had died an ignominiously when one of his brothers in arms shot him on accident?
This is the army that puts recruitment officers in schools, pays for advertisements on popular websites, and releases video games targeted at kids. They're way too PR savvy to do that.
Pretty safe? oh that is reassuring. Ask his parents if they feel pretty safe about the explanations they've received. I wonder if Jessica Lynch would have been left to die had she expressed her opposition to the war before she had been rescued. The Iraq invasion was a criminal act. If you can invade a country and kill 4000 of your own in the process, what difference one more make?
considering what we know they've done in the past, if they were going to 'do' something about Tillman it wouldn't have been quite so slapdashed as what did happen.
Look at the facts about Jessica and you'll see that her "rescue" was another photo op. She was is a hospital which no longer had any insurgents, ahe was in no imediat danger. The people in the hospital tried to take her back to the US army, but could not pass the check points.
There was no need Special ops. She was as much of a hero as any other soldier there.
It was an opportunistic PR stunt, pure and simple.

Anyone thinking his Ranger buddies intentionally murdered Pat is a fool.
yellowlabhooper 1 year ago
@yellowlabhooper I would like to say that I would find it rare or unlikely that his fellow rangers would kill him. This does not mean you can say that it is impossible because it is not. While it is far more likely that either it was an accident or a non ranger military person killed him it is still of course possible that one of his own buddies did it. No offense to you but making such a statement detracts from your overall intent. I reply simply to help you express yourself better thank you
antiphony33 1 year ago
@antiphony33 Thanks for your thoughtful reply to my post. I never said it was impossible. By contrast I agree, is possible he was intentionally killed, just not likely imho. I do not believe that a US Ranger is going to kill another US Ranger because that Ranger thinks the US mission is FUBAR. Remember, the 75th Ranger Regiment is the most elite Army Infantry unit, it is supposed to be the best of the best, a friendly fire of the most high profile Ranger would be beyond embarrasing for the Army.
yellowlabhooper 1 year ago

If I may have the liberty to present some “INSIDER” information to you, and humbly pray that you give my advice some thought in helping you to pursue your case.

strange. at least is strange.

@rarosera i suppose you dont get how the people which is really manipulated is the war supporters.
i wonder how you can think to defend your country when iraq and afghanistan are clearly not near the american borders. oh wait... i forgot that a couple of poor talebans that they never saw a cell phone on their life, with a couple of hours of flight simulator, attacked the twin towers. sorry.
M1lko01 3 months ago
I think his compatriot or compatriots shot him out of an inferiority complex. Tillman looks like a born leader, and a good soldier. Better than them, or at least that would have played upon their minds. Out of jealousy they accidentally shot him.
avidalocan 2 years ago
@avidalocan You don't accidentally shoot some one out of jealously lol
eternallord 2 years ago
You can kill someone largely unintentionally though, and you can kill someone totally intentionally. When Dick Cheney shot his "friend", he may not have liked him for some reason (whether or not he was aware of that) so that part of him reacted and shot on his behalf almost. So that's almost an accidental shooting, as opposed to say the Mendendez brother who lay in wait to shoot their parents in 1989, where it was definitely deliberate. Accidental here means unintended and spur-of-the-moment.
avidalocan 2 years ago
@avidalocan Why would we assume that they shot him out of jealousy though? If they accidentally killed him, then that implies that there were no motives behind the killing - It was just a freak accident. We can't really prove that their subconscious kicked in and made them blow his brains out at close range, so it's sort of a moot point anyway.
eternallord 2 years ago
I don't think anyone does anything by accident, or at least not things like shooting someone. But I don't think it was planned. So I'm looking for a middle ground, but not using language that would in any way stand up in a court of law. This is a "repressed desires/anxieties" type answer for what happened, and only speculative. Some of it is based on my own experience as an Army Reserve Private.
avidalocan 2 years ago
"Out of jealousy they accidentally shot him."
Now, I don't know anything about the story I am interested in Chomsky because he is a linguist and I came across this sentence.
"They accidentally shot him" means by an external not controllable action, out of anybody's control.
"Out of jealousy" means for a specific purpose: jealousy
I language you have grammar and semantics, grammar is correct. But boys semantics is just shattered.
I don't know how much they pay you, but they should hire me!
bewaver 1 year ago
@bewaver - Everyone knows there are forces that drive human beings that are largely unconscious. In the law this is known as diminished responsibility or involuntary manslaughter. When people harm or kill someone and it was not conscious and thought out, that could be a largely accidental act (beyond their control) driven by feelings that the killers have not dealt with in their consciousness (jealousy, anger, envy). People are shot all the time, but in almost all case something drove it.
avidalocan 1 year ago
I agree with you, it's called a mobile, and the degree reaches murder without premeditation, but it's still murder, Shooting is not manslaughter.
I don't think there is any right justification for shooting or hurting someone because you think you have a good reason. that's what hollywood is trying to show, and it's wrong both for the body and the soul. You kill somebody, you kill part of your humanity at the same time, revenge doesn't bring peace, only more anger, and retaliation.
bewaver 1 year ago
Also, the focus is one male perpetrated killing, a rare event. Far greater is female to male aggression, where women turn men into the living dead by ruining their reputation through lies and manipulations. The reason they show men killing with a reason in Hollywood is because it equates them with women who do that all the time metaphorically. It defuses the morality and nobleness a man in relation to women who have neither and never will. It's just Jewish propaganda at its finest.
avidalocan 1 year ago
I don;t know about Jewish per se, but it's true that there is a fundamental detachment between what you get to see on Tv, and what the fundamental values of any decent society should be. It's a bit as if they wanted to educate you by showing the bad example, however, little by little, the concept of revenge comes very strong in any given movie. Roughly 95% of the shows/movies that are aired have dead people in it. What would be considered "gore" in the '80 is now mainstream, like CSI. Scary..
bewaver 1 year ago
And the reason this standard of morality in film and elsewhere has deteriorated over the last decade or so? - Jewish values infiltrating the societies they flourish in. Otherwise, this kind of media would not be so often produced, as people would not value it (both its creators and its audience). The correlation is strong. As the culture of the West has become subsumed by Jewish values of demasculinisation, these depraved artforms can both proliferate and make great strides.
avidalocan 1 year ago
Ok, I don't want to specifically point fingers a Jews, as generalising is the mother of all f* ups.
If you want to be very technical, Christians are the real Jews, the one you refer to as "Jews" are only a left over sub-cast of Judaism that refuted the teaching of Rabbi Jesus to dwell into their dogmatic teaching, disregarding the message through technicalities and closing themselves into solipsism.
As for manipulators it's a cover up for smth else.
I mean we could write 18 volumes about this.
bewaver 1 year ago

They're way too PR savvy to do that.
t0kt0k 2 years ago
Pretty safe? oh that is reassuring. Ask his parents if they feel pretty safe about the explanations they've received. I wonder if Jessica Lynch would have been left to die had she expressed her opposition to the war before she had been rescued. The Iraq invasion was a criminal act. If you can invade a country and kill 4000 of your own in the process, what difference one more make?
twasyourdad 2 years ago
I seriously doubt anyone in his family thinks the Army had him killed on purpose because he might say bad things about the war when he got home.
t0kt0k 2 years ago
Actually, there are videos of his brother implying exactly that in live statements. Think critically.
kDdNZ 2 years ago
considering what we know they've done in the past, if they were going to 'do' something about Tillman it wouldn't have been quite so slapdashed as what did happen.
KentAllard 2 years ago
Look at the facts about Jessica and you'll see that her "rescue" was another photo op. She was is a hospital which no longer had any insurgents, ahe was in no imediat danger. The people in the hospital tried to take her back to the US army, but could not pass the check points.
There was no need Special ops. She was as much of a hero as any other soldier there.
It was an opportunistic PR stunt, pure and simple.
