When Dick Cheney shot his "friend", he may not have liked him for some reason (whether or not he was aware of that) so that part of him reacted and shot on his behalf almost. Look at the facts about Jessica and you'll see that her "rescue" was another photo op. She was is a hospital which no longer had any insurgents, ahe was in no imediat danger. The people in the hospital tried to take her back to the US army, but could not pass the check points.
