  • I have one of these kits, and one of these days I intend to make a small personal survival/emergency kit as you have done. As you say it is crush proof and highly water resistant. I question whether it will make a practical belt carried kit. I'll be interested to see if you have made a follow up video showing this. I'd be more likely to carry it in the top of my pack.

  • are you referring to the hard case? I haven't tried full on sledge, but I have used and abused that case.

  • Thanks man. Yeah there's nothing wrong with the Altoids thing, to me it was just too small for a dedicated survival kit. Although I have found some metal cases in similar size to my Pelican that are water proof and have the plus of being able to cook with them.
