  • the pictures are great!! @1.10! classic!! lmao

  • The lead vocal on both tracks is Andy Couz, Ibex playing Bass and doing backing vocals on "Gaol" of the Assassin..

Let's get some Suburban Chaos on here....

  • heard this before fkn mint so it is

  • I miss the era when the Roses were like gods and almost every teenager wore a 'Madchester' t-shirt.

  • recorded in rusholme, the line up John Squire gtr,Ian Brown bass & backing vocals,Si Wolstencroft drums, and myself Andy Couzens on Lead Voc,Great not heard this for years.....

  • @couzens1234 - Are you really Andy Couzens?

  • @couzens1234 Impressive for someone who was minus 11 years old.

  • the person singin here is kaiser! dont know his real name! andy couzens on bass!! john on lead and as da man below said Si Wolstencroft on drums, reni joined soon after and ian joined back up after his journeys round england an europe!

  • Ian must have done backing vocal for the first one, cos that's not him on lead?

  • Great upload! The very roots of dem Roses...!

  • The very origins of The Stone Roses, formed around '79/'80 by John Squire, Ian Brown, Andy Couzens and Si Wolstencroft. Two tracks were recorded in Stockport, probably 10cc's Strawberry Studios.

Ian Brown lends his vocals to Jail of the Assassins, while Andy Couzens does vocal duties on Too Many Tonnes. Contrary to what the film states, Andy Watkins was not a member of the Patrol.

  • first one sounds like the power of love lol

  • wow, that was john on the first song? His voice had such an intresting change during the years....

  • It's actually a grower.
