@MRphillipism try disconnecting everything, like an extra hard drive, anything usb. jus connect the 1 drive your installing on. and if u hav a wireless key n mice, try wired. i was having the same prob n it didnt feel 2 good.lol

@BMWM3GTR77 I Figured it all out if you use acronis disk director resize the System Reserved partition to 1gb because you have to have at least 450mb to install windows i resized mine and Vista installed perfectly :)

@Effekt1155 Yes you can install it on one occasion, you have to back up all your old files onto a usb drive of external hard drive then, you have to install it on "Custom Upgrade". Just when you go to install vista do it this way

1.)Place DVD in disc drive

2.)Turn off PC

3.)Turn on PC

4.) When a prompt shows up saying "Press any key to start" or something like that

5.) Install it from there on

If your computer is not booting from ur Vista-cd u have to change the boot order in BIOS, its not to complicated, google it.

And if u got the same problem as "Spellboy258" try changing keyboard if u got another one laying around. chanses are that ur type of keyboard does not send signals untill the opperative system starts

it soulds like your DPI is off

you can change it in the following place:

Control Panel -> Personalization -> Adjust font size (DPI) [on the lefthand side of the window

normal DPI is 96

just click the Default radio buttom then click apply restart if needed and that should fix it

i had the same problem with one of my systems. the problem with my system was that the Hard drive wasn't on the first SATA controller

when i put the hard drive on the first SATA controller it worked fine

still have that system today and it works great

i would try to see what controller it is on that might be all the problem is

if that dosn't work just message me back and i will help you find a solution
